Parx Spot Plays

Race 2: #3 Don’t Tell Grandma

  • Don’t Tell Grandma should be sent to the lead early with the apprentice aboard. This race has 0 early speed and this horse has shown some early speed but never anything where she has actually gotten the lead. I think that changes today with the apprentice aboard for Mike Pino.

Race 5: #6 Wild Union

  • Wild Union should get the perfect set up today. There is a ton of early speed lined up here and Wild Union has the ability to press these leaders on the backstretch and make his one winning move. He did this two starts back and ran down rival Private Network who came back to win last time out and is in this race again. I think Wild Union sits off the pace and has that one winning run today.

Race 7: #5 Vidal

  • Vidal should be tough in this spot for Penny Pearce. This horse is running at Parx for the first time after going gate to wire at Keeneland last time out. Pearce is 4/12 off the claim this year and should be able to have her 5th win off the claim today. Vidal is going to be on the lead early most likely unless someone else can get there which I don’t see happening. If he gets the early lead, I don’t see anyone passing Vidal with Adorno in the irons.
