Race 2: #7 Diggers Diamond
- Diggers Diamond was my top pick the last time he ran. He was running off a layoff in that race and didn’t run terribly but only finished 3rd. Today I am hoping he will be ready to run 2nd time out off the layoff. Also, I hope Adorno doesn’t take this horse wide the whole way like last time. If he can work out a cleaner trip and have some extra stamina due to the 2nd off the layoff angle, this is going to be the horse to beat.
Race 6: #2 Sugar Streak
- Sugar Streak is now in the Jacinto Solis barn after being claimed two starts back. First off the claim this horse ran a solid 3rd but drifted out late due to being tired. I think second time out for the new connections should help. Luis Villanueva has been riding well on his limited mounts and I think this horse runs for him. Should be tough today.
Race 9: #5 Exit Right
- Exit Right gets his favorite jockey back aboard in Angel Castillo today. Last time out they put Paco Lopez on the horse and the horse finished with the worst finish since June 9th. I think the return of Castillo should only benefit this horse and the field isn’t that strong either. He should be close to the lead today and I think he will be tough today.
