Race 8- 7F Unique Bella Stakes 100K
Picks – 5-2-6
#5 Chub Wagon is looking for 5 wins in a row and to stay undefeated. She has dominated every field she has faced in her young career. She is coming off of a 99 beyer win at Aqueduct earlier this month. I think you can single her and move on to the next race.
#2 Ujjayi is the class of the field but isn’t in the best of forms lately. Michael Maker ships her in from Sam Houston and Turfway which makes this probably the weakest of the fields she has faced recently. However, I don’t see her being better than Chub Wagon today.
#6 Crazy Bea would need to move up about 20 beyer speed figures today in order to win, but I think at her value she is a good horse to use underneath.
Race 9- 7F The Page McKenney Stakes 100K
Picks – 4-10-11
#4 Breezy Gust is in for Danny Velazquez and should be the lone speed today. He has dominated the last 3 starts and looks to dominate again here in a Stakes race. If Jomar Torres can get him comfortable on the lead, this race might be over.
#10 Hockey Puck won the PA Nursery here as a 2yo. In 2019. As this horse gets older, the better he gets. He improved a ton turning 3 and this is his first start at 4yo. I think Adorno can surprise here with this one.
#11 Admiral Abe is going to try and get the lead early today, as his last two starts were gate to wire types of races. This horse earned a 101 beyer two back and then followed it up with a 92. This horse has figured it out and I think he could be a top prospect here.
Race 10- 6F ALW35000N1R
Picks – 3-2-4
#3 Geebert is looking for 3 in a row and is the rightful ML favorite here. I think Silverstre Gonzalez got the most out of him the previous two starts and knows how to get him to try and win.
#2 Strawberry Red is in for Jamie Bravo- Estrada. I think if Laprida can get the lead with him, he will run better. This horse is a need the lead type of horse and if Laprida can get a comfortable lead this race may be over.
#4 Kidnapped is in for John Servis and gets Frankie Pennington back again. His last race was in the PA Nursery stakes last year and he finished 2nd to Fire’s Finale who hasn’t came back too strong since. He will be flying late but I don’t know if it will be enough.
Race 11- 1M 70Y CLM7500N3L
Picks – 9-5-8
#9 Passport Required is 2nd off the layoff for Lou Linder which is an amazing angle. Linder is 28% 2nd off the layoff and he gets to keep Ruben Silvera today as well. Ruben won on this horse two races ago and came back with a distant 2nd last time out. I think with more fitness, this horse will perform better and I expect a win today.
#5 Taylor’s Belle is sneaky in this spot. Jamie Rodriguez rode this horse two races ago and won on her and returns today. She couldn’t close into the speed bias last race and still put up a fight. I think today if the track is fair, she could be tough.
#8 Jennyanyspot is in for new connections today as she is running for Ernesto Padilla- Preciado now. Luis Rivera rides her today and she seems to be a horse who is going to try and get the lead early on today. She isn’t that fast of a horse but I think if she somehow gets the lead she could be hard to catch.
