Parx Spot Plays

Race 2: #7 Live Aid

  • Live Aid closed well last time out and evened out towards the wire. She now drops into a 7500 claiming level on the N3L condition. John Kirby has been putting his horses in the right spots which is why I like this one. I think switching to jockey Silvestre Gonzalez is also huge and with a decent late kick, I think she will be rolling late.

Race 4: #7 Its About My Time

  • Its About My Time is now in the Penny Pearce barn which is an upgrade in barns from his previous barn he was in. I think Ruben Silvera riding this horse before switching barns showed that Ruben and his agent thought that this horse had solid ability in the mornings or even during the races and it could’ve been just the trainer not fitting this horse. Now with Pearce, the horse gets the barn’s go to jockey in Abner Adorno. I think this horse can beat a field like this and the new connections should help.

Race 6: #7 Nyssa

  • Nyssa just missed last time out with the apprentice and now gets the aggressive Luis Rivera. This horse shows a ton of early kick and just fades when it matters. I think a jockey like Luis Rivera and in this field that isn’t much, should help Nyssa win today. However, this horse might just be allergic to winning but in a field where the ML favorite seems super beatable, I like my chances.
