Parx Racing 6/1/21
Race 5- 1M 70Y CLM12500N4L
Picks- 3-1-5
#3 Occhi d’Oro should be pressing the leaders today but there also isn’t a ton of speed so there’s a good chance he can get the lead himself. He was recently gelded and that could help explain the time off. This horse is now 2nd off the layoff and looks to improve.
#1 Dance for Oro is a bit of a hanger but should get a lone speed type of trip. If that is the case, Frankie could go gate to wire here. Yesterday speed held really well and a lot of winners came on the front end. Today could be a repeat of yesterday.
#5 El Borracho definitely has a lot to prove still since switching to Parx. However, I think that last effort could have been just a practice run over the surface to see if he could take to the track good enough to show improvement in his second start. Today I expect a ton of improvement.
Race 6- 1M CLM10000X
Picks- 6-7-8
#6 Stormbeam is first off the claim for Pino and gets his top jockey Ruben Silvera aboard which means this horse should be live first time out for Pino. This horse was claimed out of the same exact condition at the beginning of May and now is running again at this level hoping to improve. I don’t only think this horse improves, I think he wins.
#7 Checkbouncin Billy is in off the claim for Jamie Bravo Estrada. I like the horse leaving an open company and joining a restricted company again. Dexter Haddock hopping on this horse is a good sign as he always does good with riding horses for new barns. Should see improvement.
#8 Dr. Ann gets the red hot bug girl in Courtney Giraldo and this horse could go gate to wire with the less weight. I think this horse has a serious outside chance as this level and with this apprentice aboard.
Race 7- 1M 1/16th ALW45000N1X
Picks- 13-1-9
#13 One Nation is much better on the dirt and wasn’t bred for turf at all so I love that the race was rained off. This horse was bet down heavily last time out and didn’t run that well but with a good recent workout, I believe this horse should win.
#1 Champers is on a roll lately and this horse is now running for Joe Taylor instead of Jamie Ness. I really like this horse and I don’t mind the barn change. Should run huge again.
#9 Bouncing Around is looking to repeat his last effort and win again today. Ruben Silvera keeps the call here and this horse should be close to the lead today with all the scratches.
Race 8- 1M OC50K/N1X
Picks- ALL
Honestly this race is super wide open and I think all the horses have a chance so I will be ending the pick 4 with an all button.
