Parx Racing 6/21/22

Parx Spot Plays

Race 5: #6 Don’t Tell Grandma

  • I loved this horse last time out and the bug boy couldn’t finish the job and got caught late. That isn’t any knock to the jockey but he went a little too quick a little too early and the horse was tired late. Hopefully the jockey switch will lead in a gate to wire victory.

Race 6: #3 Verrazano Bridge

  • Verrazano Bridge has been in really good form lately and should be tough in this spot with the apprentice Jose Gomez aboard, He is coming out of a similar field and he should have won that race but just missed. I think today is slightly easier and he can win if it indeed is.

Race 10: #7 Fortheluvofbourbon

  • Fortheluvofbourbon hasn’t run since the Page McKenney handicap in April. He won that handicap and has been in good form going into that race. I think he deserved that little time off to rest up and this is a good spot to return to the races. I think this field is pretty deep but I think if he is on his A game he can beat this bunch.
