Parx Spot Plays
Race 1: #4 Princess Kaira
- This filly is now in a better barn and Miguel Rodriguez doesn’t have many horses but he is winning at a 30% clip this year. This filly won last time out in the race she was claimed out of and now is facing a smaller field but a slightly higher class level. I like the jockey switch as well and I think there is some cheap speed early on that can result in a closing/off pace victory for Princess Kaira.
Race 3: #7 Maybe After Later
- Maybe After Later is one of two Jamie Ness entrants in this field. I think this is the one that will win out of the two even though both have a legitimate shot. Ruben Silvera who is Jamie Ness’s go to jockey is on this one and this one has a lot of early speed. Hopefully Silvera can get to the lead on his own and this horse can go gate to wire in victory.
Race 6: #6 Qpidscarizmatkqtee
- This filly for Mike Trombetta debuted at Laurel and won in debut. She was green in victory and should be more mature today after a 4 month layoff. She gets Frankie Pennington today which is a good sign as Frankie knows this track like the back of his hand. Trombetta points his horses in good spots and this spot may be a little tougher than the previous race but I think there is value on this one and this one could go 2 for 2 lifetime.
