Race 1- 1M MCL20K
Picks- 4-3-6
#4 Charles Safari dueled the whole way around the racetrack last time out and just missed for 2nd. I think today he will be tougher to get by and Anthony Nunez is red hot lately so I expect a good trip for this horse.
#3 Inspired Options is an 0/17 Maiden but has hit the money in 7 of those 17 races. Personally, I think this field is very weak and that this could be the race he wins. He gets Ruben Silvera aboard and I think this horse has enough ability that he just needs a good trip in order to win.
#6 A Gray for Carolyn has been coming into form as of late. Adorno has been riding well and Juan Vasquez has been training well also. This horse ships back to Parx and I think this is the easiest field he has faced in his career.
Race 2- 6 1/2F OC25K/SAL25K
Picks- 5-4-1
#5 Vinny Dream has just missed in the last two races at this level. He also just worked a bullet work on May 3rd. This should mean this horse is sound and ready to roll in my eyes. Ruben Silvera looks to keep his hot streak alive and hopefully he does with this colt.
#4 Eddie’s Charge just broke his maiden last time out in a solid effort. He looks to keep the win streak alive today and make it two in a row. Lupe Preciado also has the #1 in here but I think this one is slightly better.
#1 Lavery is shipping from Gulfstream where he spent the winter. Today he faces a tad tougher but on a surface I think he will enjoy it. Mychel Sanchez gets the call today and I think that is a huge step up from the quality of jockeys he was using before in Florida.
Race 3- 5 1/2F MCL20K
Picks- 8-4-2
I don’t really like anything in this field and honestly depending on bankroll this could be an all race. The horses I would use are 2,4,8,9 in here and I don’t have anything really positive to say on either of them.
Race 4- 1M 70 Y CLM7500N3L
Picks- 6-5-1
#6 Green Growth just dominated last time out in a 5 horse field and now faces a bigger group. I think Ruben Silvera will have this horse on the lead and should get a similar trip as to last time. If he produces a similar trip, this race might be over from the start.
#5 Superhighway just missed lst time out and hopefully can improve off that effort. I think if the pace collapses, this horse will be sitting the ideal and perfect trip to win.
#1 Knokke by the Sea will be closing late today. He would need an absolute pace collapse in order to win but I trust Adorno enough to have him not too far back. This horse is coming into form again and this could be the race he produces a big effort.
