Parx Racing 5/4/21

Going to try and hit the Early Pick 4 once again

Race 1- 6 1/2F CLM12500N3L

Picks- 6-5-2

#6 Twirling Dervish is looking for 3 in a row today and should get the job done. Lou Linder and Ruben Silvera are almost as good at Jamie Ness and Ruben Silvera. This horse is improving since moving from Turfway to Parx and I think the surface change was all that she needed.

#5 Posseineffecttoo has better beyer numbers than Twirling Dervish but isn’t in great form and they took Mychel Sanchez off the horse and put Dexter Haddock aboard instead. I think if the pace collapses she has a shot.

#2 Terpeye is dropping back into this level after trying OC company last time out. This horse is also a deep closer and if she can break better she will be tough in here. But it will be tough to beat the 6 in this race.

Race 2- 6F CLM5000N2Y

Picks- 1-5-6

#1 La Purissima should be the lone speed in here and will be tough to catch. Felix Jr. has won on this horse twice and this horse seems to be better when he is aboard. I think the rail also helps her case and the quicker she is out the gate the better.

#5 Bayleaf should be sitting right off the pace and looking to make one run. The two month layoff could be the only issue she has. If she can have enough in the tank, I think she will be tough in here if she gets the preferred trip.

#6 Bow Town Cat won 2 races ago and I hope she gets a similar trip to that day. She is 8 for 25 at Parx and she obviously likes the surface and distance. She has back class to beat this field and it all depends if she wants to show up mentally.

Race 3- 6F OC16K/SAL12K

Picks- 4-1-2

#4 Too Much Johnnie just missed the last two times out and I am hoping Angel Castillo can get the job done as Mychel Sanchez chose to ride the rail horse in here. Too Much Johnnie loves to finish 2nd but I think today might be the day he wins and at 8/1ML I can’t pass it up.

#1 Fix Me a Sandwich should be the lone speed here and gets Mychel Sanchez back after last race not having him. Mychel won on this horse two back and this horse has back class as well. If he gets the lead this race may be over.

#2 Call Me Daddy should be closing late and is jumping up in class. Jomar Torre gets the call again and I think there is enough early pace that this horse should get the pace to run into. If all goes well, this horse could be closing hard late.

Race 4-6F MCL10K

Picks- 4-7-6

#4 Gateway Love debuted at MSW level with a pretty poor jockey aboard. This horse also ran off prior to the race and they still allowed her to run in the race. She finished a distant third and now drops to the bottom and gets Mychel Sanchez. I think if she keeps her stamina she should go gate to wire here.

#7 Oak Creek Canyon is also going to go to the lead early but she isn’t as classy in my opinion. She has struggled to finish the job in the previous two starts at this level so I think today she finishes short again.

#6 Almost Evil is 0/18 lifetime but maybe the 19th start is the one. If she can run like the race two starts ago, she should be very tough here. And if the pace collapses she should be even better.
