Race 5: #3 Souper Royal Moon
- Souper Royal Moon had 2 starts as a 2yo and both were at Laurel. Mike Trombetta rarely ships to Parx and this horse isn’t a PA Bred which makes this interesting. Mychel Sanchez gets the call and rode this horse last time out. Today this colt gets lasix which should help him improve on his habit of hanging late and not finishing strong. This field is wide open and with a Linda Rice horse taking some money due to the NY shipper angle, I think you might get around 5/1 or 6/1 on this horse.
Race 7: #9 Thorny Tale
- Thorny Tale is one of Jamie Ness’s best horses at Parx and after trying two races in NY and finishing well in both but being in over his head. However, this is a perfect spot for this horse to return to Parx. He should be a main pace presence and if this horse can return to Parx form in his return to Parx, this horse should win.
Race 10: #8 What About Tonight
- What About Tonight was claimed by Miguel Penaloza two races ago and in the first start in Penaloza’s barn this horse ran a close 2nd. I think she has the ability to improve off that start and getting a rider like Dexter Haddock I think this horse will improve. If she runs a similar race as to last time and can improve by a tad she can win.
