Parx Spot Plays for Wednesday 7/14/21
PRE SCRATCHES AND MIGHT NOT HAVE TIME TO ADJUST TODAY
Race 1
#6 Pa Enicma looks interesting to me here as I think anything Mychel Sanchez is riding is live and on top of that he is riding every “live” horse for Lupe Preciado right now as they are hitting at 28%. This horse was claimed as a 2yo in a MCL16K at GP and ran a solid 3rd in that effort for Jorge Delgado. After the claim it looks like Lupe Preciado gave him some time off, and shipped him up north to Parx for training. Maybe there was a slight set back but to then run this horse in the same level 7 months later can make bettors stay away but to me I think this horse is going to be fit, workouts have been solid, and gets the top jockey in the mid atlantic right now aboard.
Race 8
#2 Hockey Puck is a Penn National horse who I usually wouldn’t play as their form when shipping to Parx isn’t the best but this horse is 2 for 3 at Parx where he broke his Maiden, won the PA Nursery Stakes as a 2yo and then ran 4th in a Stake last summer. This is an easier field and Tyler Connor his normal jockey ships in to ride today as well. This horse should be ready to go and is looking for a return to the winners’ circle.
Race 11
#9 Hizaam looks really interesting here as well as this horse switches to the Ronald Dandy barn who has had a quiet but solid season so far. Silvestre Gonzalez gets the call and he is also having a career year this year. This horse just won a open 5k claiming race at Parx last time out and now drops into a restricted field for the same tag. He has won multiple times at the distance and at Parx and hasn’t run since late last year which means he should be fresh.
