Race 3: #2 Enraged
- Enraged should be actually in a good spot despite two Ness Entrants on the far outside. Enraged loses Frankie Pennington today but gets the best apprentice on the east coast in Jerion Barbosa. The weight break combined with good form should set this horse up well in this spot.
Race 7: #7 Excursion
- Excursion has improved since switching to the Mike Pino barn. I think Pino has found out how to get this horse in a good spot during a race which is pressing the leaders early on. Paco Lopez gets the call here today and he should be aggressive today.
Race 9: #7 Knockout Kick
- I usually tend to fade horses who haven’t ran in a year but today that is what I like about this one. I think DeMasi knows when to put a horse on the shelf to let them heal up or to fix things. This horse needed time off after two poor starts that showed something was off. This horse has came back off long layoffs before and won in return and I think based off workouts this horse can do that again today.
