Parx Spot Plays

Race 4: #9 Robert’s Luxury

  • Robert’s Luxury is dropping in class again as he has in each of his last 3 starts including today. Today they ship to Parx where this horse debuted in July. It was his only dirt start and he was eased and did not finish. Since then he has run on turf at Colonial and Laurel where he has 2 wins, a second and a third against similar if not tougher competition. I think Johan Rosado coming with the horse to ride is a big plus as Johan started his career at Parx and also won here yesterday. I think this horse will sit a perfect trip and should be tough today.

Race 7: #9 Jammin Jimtown

  • Jammin Jimtown is in for Jamie Ness who had this horse on the turf for the most recent 4 starts. However this horse is also very solid on the dirt. Ruben Silvera returns to the irons after Frankie Pennington rode this horse last time out. I think this is a good condition for the horse today and I think he is sitting on a big effort.

Race 8: #4 Nostalgic Run

  • Todd Pletcher sends his PA bred 2yo to Parx for his debut today. This $155K purchase for Gandharvi Racing Stables is out of Upstart and has had a pretty consistent worktab. Kendrick Carmouche is riding this horse today and I think this horse will be breaking close to the lead or at least they hope. I watched his workout on the 8th, and he wasn’t really asked in the workout but did outwork his workout partner and had a somewhat decent stride without full asking. I think Kendrick can be aggressive and he can win on debut.
