Parx Racing 9/22/21

I will only be doing spot plays today as I am turning my focus primarily to this upcoming Saturday for the PA Derby card. I will be on site on Saturday if anyone will be at Parx. Come say hi!.

Race 5: #5 Mucho Macho Eddie

  • Mucho Macho Eddie might go off as the odds on favorite here today but rightfully so. This field is weak and with only 5 horses after scratches, this might be a run away for Ness and Silvera. The horse is finally returning to Parx and is dropping in class to the lowest he has faced in a long time, if not ever. Should be hard to beat.

Race 7- #6 Doc Meeks

  • Doc Meeks is in the best form on the turf coming into this race compared to the rest of the field. The only flaw I have is that this horse is shipping in from Penn National which usually doesn’t transition well over to Parx. However, that is primarily on dirt so I will be giving it a pass here today. Kresier is 0 for 5 this year at Parx with 4 seconds, so it isn’t like he is shipping bad horses, but more so that he is getting unlucky with those said horses. Kendrick Carmouche picks up the mount today and I think this horse will benefit off of that. The drop in class is also huge and I think they are looking to win today.

Race 9: #10 Liraz

  • Liraz should be able to sit just off the pace setters here today as she has speed to the inside and outside of her. She has experience at this distance which is unique in itself. Last time out she was willingly trying to make up ground on the rail but only could manage to get 3rd. That was only the first start this horse had while being in the Kate DeMasi barn so this time out she should have more experience in her new living conditions which should show on the race track as well. She likes turf and I think this race she will prove that.
