Santa Anita Late Double

There is not a better feeling then finishing off the betting week with cashing a ticket. @blinkersoff420 is here today to give the readers of the #ITM network a play to end the week on a positive note. To clarify, a play is not one betting ticket, rather it is one key horse to build tickets off by betting in what pool you feel comfortable betting in.

Race 7                   F – Clm 12500 (12.5-10.5) – 7 Furlongs – 4^

In a race of five horses there can be an instinct to overanalyze the hell out of it. My selection is not sexy, but reality is reality and to me Eternal Endeavour looks the best. With a 9/5 morning line the challenge will be to find the value in the 2nd leg of the double to make some coin. Centeno might not be the most popular bug and note Pyfer had a few mounts on Eternal Endeavour, yet winds up on the #5, Flying Business. Does that mean anything? Your guess is as good as mine. #3, Dorita’s Lemon is dropping but after that last effort which was off 3 months break or so I will take a shot against. #2, Billy K will need to step it up in the speed # department and the #1, Madame Barbarian seems to like 6 furlongs.

#6 – Eternal Endeavour is my key horse in the late double.

Race 8 –           Allowance 50000s – 6 ½ Furlongs – Turf – 4^

Using two horses in the 2nd leg of the double, weighted accordingly.

#7 City Rage will need to speed to set up a run but might have it here. Coming off a mini vacation with 3 solid works in a row my willingness to use in the top spot ignores the previous attempts at sprinting.

#8 Erotic is a 20-1 morning line bomb but has shown the ability to close in the past. Like above will be dependent on quick fractions and the lead types getting caught up in contention. With a 20-1 morning line and solid speed figure why not? Like the previously mentioned City Rage he will have to have the pace set up to get home for the coin.
