Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 6 – 5 – 1 – 2
#6 Freedom Road should run well in this spot with his tactical ability, running third off the layoff. #5 Back Em Up has run his two best career speed figures going the distance of seven furlongs. #1 El Principito is a very competitive four-year-old gelding that will be running second off the layoff for trainer Gerald Bennet who is not afraid to run his horses often when they are doing well, last time out was at Tampa Bay downs 15 days ago. #2 Unclecharliesgift is very competitive and drops in class for trainer Nick Zito.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 3 – 4
#3 And One More Time is a Grade One winning filly who has shown great versatility and is dropping in class for trainer Mark Casse. #4 Destino d’Oro is also getting some class relief today. If there is any speed early, she will love that scenario and be the one passing everyone late.
Race 9 SELECTIONS:
#2 Imperatrice ran fast for the first half of her debut outing before tiring, should improve. #1 Little Georgie also showed good potential in her debut and looks to be primed by her strong connections. #5 Betty’s Pearl fits a very similar profile of running well early, and with a clean trip she should have something to say about the outcome.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 7 – 4
#7 More Than Glory is running first off the claim for strong connections, at this level with an added sixteenth of a mile, she will be running late and will be tough. #4 Trumpetta is dangerous at this level and if she can get the lead without much pressure she is a gate to wire threat.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 12- 3 – 8
#12 Souper Forces is a perfect three for three in his young career and has a running style that fits the winning profile for today’s finale. #3 Tiz Dashing is a versatile runner with a good turn of foot, gets jockey Javier Castellano in the saddle. #8 Simulate is a three-year-old son of Kitten’s joy who has the pedigree and is also dropping in class for trainer Bill Mott.
