Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 2 – 3 – 7 – 5 – 1
#2 Chosen Factor drops in class and has proven that she can compete at this level. #3 Honor Her will be running second off the layoff, jockey Miguel Vasquez maintains the riding assignment. #7 Get the Win will also be returning from a long layoff and could be ready to roll; workout tab is solid and consistent. #5 Glory Glory makes her four-year-old return after a seven month layoff and drops in class for trainer Mary Lightner. #1 Bal de Mar has good early speed and will be cutting back in distance in hopes of getting to the front early and staying there.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 3
#3 Expressway drops in class after a strong start as a two-year-old, returns for strong connections and gets Lasix for the first time; he will be the pathway that our opinions will go through to get this bet home.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 7 – 4 – 9
# 7 Baby Blocks will face state breds once again but this time on the turf. #4 Heir to the Roar has never raced on the grass but she has the ability to keep pace with this group based on her speed and pace figures. #9 Lucy’s Cookie has overcome her outside post draw before and I believe she is helped by the 5 Furlong distance.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 1 – 4
#1 Contrary is a very strong contender in this spot and her only competition will be # 4 Five G who is at gate to wire threat.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 9 – 5
# 9 No More War has not raced in over eleven months, but if she is close to being as good as she was this time last year, she will be very strong here; if trainer Mark Casse things she is ready, nuff said. #5 Authentic Legend drops in class and catches a group of maidens that she should be very competitive with.
