Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 8 – 4 – 6 – 1
#8 Love Song has good speed and versatility and should be a key player here as she moves back to the turf and stretches out in distance. #4 Candy Quest has a nitro turn of foot that must be respected and she can run well at most distances, but the longer the better. #6 Dona Clota was a rock star in Chile, but her U.S. attempts have been less than desirable; today she returns from a long layoff and gets jockey Flavien Prat in the saddle. #1 Gallant Greta was a part of a paceless race last time so we won’t hold that against her, jockey change to Luis Saez.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 9
#9 On Time Girl will be our single in the sequence as she is the most likely winner of the Grade 2 Davona Dale. She is in with a good group of fillies but based on her running style and her two-year-old foundation, she gets the nod.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 9 – 10 – 6
#9 Lush Lips is very fast and likes to go to the front but is not a need the lead type, jockey Tyler Gaffalione stays aboard. #10 Crevalle d’Oro just missed last time out and is very capable of a repeat performance + a half a length. #6 Movin’ On Up is one that has been a bridesmaid and not a bride, but she is hard-trying and the rider change to jockey Luis Saez fits her running style.
Race 13 SELECTIONS: 6 – 2 – 7
#6 Anegada loves to finish her races strong regardless of her placement in the race or the pace, or the track. #2 Without will make his second start in the U.S. for trainer Graham Motion after narrowly missing here at Gulfstream Park last time. #7 Zverev is running for strong connections and could get the right trip with new jockey Flavien Prat.
Race 14 SELECTIONS: 4 – 6 – 5
#4 Commandment was impressive in the Mucho Macho Man last time out as he handled the mile distance without any issue, he won’t be a price but hopefully we have found value in our prior legs and if he gets to the line first we will take the blessing. #6 Chief Wallabee was very professional on debut, and you could see that he could have done even more but was taking cues from the jockey as well, excited to see him compete today. #5 Bravaro ran a very good race in the Holy Bull but no one was catching the winner that day. I do believe that based on that effort and his ability to come from off the pace, that he can be successful with those same tactics here today.
