Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 2 – 6 – 8
#2 Shades of Jade is a very game filly running third off the layoff for strong connections. #6 Justinqueso is quick away from the gate and has the grit to pass horses, looks well placed in this spot. #8 Cart Girl Sam drops in class and had a sharp workout as she looks to right the ship for trainer Rohan Crichton.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 7 – 3
#7 Diciassette is coming off a not so great return after his route attempt in the Breeders Futurity. He now cuts back in distance and will be running second off the layoff; recent workouts indicate he is ready. #3 Sweeping Shadow gets the include because of his effort last time out when he won professionally with a running style that could be dangerous with the fast pace scenario.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 2 – 7 – 6
#2 Hot Blooded gets a little class relief and has a late kick that always must be respected, rider change to Luis Saez. #7 Nate the Great is in good form as he stays on the turf, rider change here as well as Tyler Gaffalione picks up the mount for trainer Carlos David. #6 Mendelssohns March will be running second off a really long layoff for new connections, this six-year-old gelding has some good running lines further down in his past performances.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 6 – 5 – 4
#6 Fact returns from a six month freshening and could run back to his form and win for fun. #5 Statesman does his best running late and that will pair well with the jockey change to Joel Rosario. #4 First Call Bob won on debut for strong connections; he is lightly raced and well bred.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 1
#1 Moon Spun will be the key and single to the sequence, her form and speed are top notch currently and she should be able to clear from the inside and make it to the line first.
