Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 6 – 7
#6 Horsing Around began her career on turf and after two good performances she moves to the dirt and stretches out, her pedigree and running style are factors that give her the include. #7 Joyful Justice ran a solid third place finish in a similar race on debut last time out and should improve off of that effort.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 2 – 4
#2 American Popstar returns to the turf and should bounce back from a dull effort on the All-Weather last time. #4 Bembridge Ledge drops in class again after just narrowly missing at Tampa Bay Downs last time out.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 6
#6 Endrick will be our single and will allow us to spread in the last two competitive turf races.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 4 – 5 – 7 – 2
#4 Being Betty has good speed and versatility and is in good form for trainer Lisa Bartkowski. #5 Malleymoo is a gate to wire threat as she returns for strong connections. #7 Minty is a Mark Casse trained filly who continues to improve with each race. #2 Contrary has never been on the grass but she was sired by Medaglia d’Oro, and her running style is also complementary for the grass.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 1 – 7 – 3 – 9 – 4
#1 Corta Fuego will be running first off the claim for trainer Kevin Attard. This four-year-old gelding has good turn of foot and should have a decent pace to close into. #7 Jayhawk is dropping in class and looks to return to form, trainer Bobby Dibona will take the blinkers off. #3 Walter Me Lad just missed versus a similar field last time out, jockey Miguel Vasquez retains the mount. #9 Battle of Dover is a versatile runner who gives his all no matter the surface, since the rider change to Luca Panici, this horse has three wins and one third place finish. #4 Carentan is running first off the claim for trainer Blake Kelley and is not without a chance.
