The end to a long holiday weekend….. after some unexpected results in South Florida yesterday the early Pick 5 today could be more of the same.
Due to some computer issues details will be brief today.
Will update with a ticket once scratches come out as I am looking for a bit of scratch help to make an affordable early Pick 5 ticket.
Not ecstatic with the early Pick 5 today , but with limited spots today I wanted to involved in I will take a shot.
$84 Ticket that falls more under the gambling category than horse playing….. Yes there is a difference in my opinion..
If limited budget could take a shot singling the 6 in the first leg which also leads to a possible Daily Double 6 into 1.
R1 – 6 , 8
R2 – 1
R3- 1,2,4,5,6,7,9
R4 – 1 , 2 , 3
R5 – 6,8,9,12
Race 1 is Maiden 25K on the grass that has lots of narratives to consider. Spread approach or play your strongest opinions and wheel back with a P4 in the event of an early disappointment.
A Line
6 Never Say Never I think is the horse to beat by the narrowest of margins. He is 0 for 13 but only 0 for 5 on the turf which makes everything sound better and now drops to his lowest level to date. Should have a fitness edge on most of these runners.
8 Titan (20-1) 0 for 16 Maiden who got to the turf last out for the first time. This is the only horse I want out of the Nov 1st race and I likely will get a small across board wager from me. The video has a gap of his last when a horse fell, Titan was 3-4L off the lead out wide, When the video picked back up he is last 10 lengths or more back. Then Makes a long sustained run ….. Definitely better than paper form suggests..
B line – Going to keep things short here
5 Franchuchie debuts for a tag but owned by Wesley who is 2 for 13 debuting for a tag Turf/SYN routing. I could not imagine training this one for 18 months then debuting for a tag…..
10 Ocala Rocket is one I am just over continues to disappoint at short prices.
Others that would not shock me if won today 1 , 3 , 4 , 7 , 9 , 14 , 15
Race 2 is where I will take a shot which is the only way I can justify playing the early Pick 5
Lone A – 1 Krioyo covered a ton of ground when breaking his maiden last time finishing well for his level.
B Line
2 Legal Maneuver drops in for a tag and his last routing on the tapeta was his best effort yet and could very well win here just off class relief alone but I need to see him finish a race with some interest before backing.
4 Bold N Breezy from a figure standpoint I have slightly behind Krioyo the gap is not that much and will be forward. D’Angelo claimed this one off Saffie which can be a tall task …..
Race 3 is another early spot that a strong opinion could payoff for you. Lower level maiden claiming race with a lack of information……ALL!
I will use ALL of these but the 3 and hope for a price. G Mother is the horse to beat? Maybe but just because she did no running in a MSW ? She did have a decent gate work before her debut and will be a short price.
If you asked me to take 1 and only 1… I would likely ignore you and walk away….
Race 4 I will be using these 3 Equally
A Line
1 Candy Street is the most consistent of the 3 I am using. The tapeta route effort for this gelding are rinse and repeat…….
2 Battle of Dover takes a slight drop in class and like Candy Street repeats a solid effort each time..
3 Hakkimi has races slightly better than the 2 I mention above but comes with a question mark making his comeback off a July effort where something clearly went wrong.
Race 5 is a 10K claimer sprinting on the tapeta and if you enjoy tough puzzles then you are in luck.
6 Rough Draft gets a major class relief today while trying sprinting on the tapeta for the first time.
8 Neophyte makes his first start for Saffie which always is a reason to include, but will note Edgar is riding another.
9 Nichiren originally I was not using but after scratches got slight bump up the ladder.
12 Dropkick Murphy could very well clear this field from the outside but also could get hung wide and just recently graduated into open company.
