Billy Koch and JK join PTF to talk about the guaranteed payout in the Santa Anita Pick 6 on Saturday that includes two Grade 1s and an important Kentucky Derby prep race, with Life Is Good making his return to the races in the San Felipe.
Additionally, PTF and JK give their thoughts on the two Golden Gate races in the Golden Hour Pick 4 as well as thoughts on the Gotham Stakes and Tampa Bay Derby, two other potentially important Kentucky Derby preps.
Last but not least, they offer their thoughts on what racing can learn from troubling events in Ireland this week as well as the protests at Golden Gate.
PTF and JK – can’t express how great the entire litany of shows In the Money Media are. I listen to as many as possible. Billy K and Michelle are an outstanding edition. The insight from ATM, Blake, Billy and Clay on race analysis is terrific. Really great stuff.
Thank you so much! It’s a great team to be a part of 🙂
Hey PTF.
No reason for fake apologies, we’re horseplayers, remember? , we see everything, with a little luck. The $10 means nothing to me, just seems a little to business like, considering you already had great content. I’m almost positive your roi from Tim plus will be no different than previous tickets. Just trying to read this like you and JK would. God knows you guys are smarter tan me. And finally no love for the greatest band ever Led Zeppelin?
As I’ve said many times re plus, it’s not replace any of the content we were doing before, just a way to add MORE content. It’s not supposed to be “better.” We’re actually doing way, way more than before, and I don’t just mean the new shows. In the old days we’d do maybe 4 races on the late week show, on Friday we did 10. Is plus a “business like” endeavor? Absolutely, we are running a business here. As for Zeppelin, they’re awesome. But if you expect me to name every good rock band the shows are going to get much too long 🙂 Anyway, thanks for chiming in and let us know if you have any questions.
Great show as usual PTF and JK. I’m behind in my podcast listening. Just got back from Biloxi, MS where they now have parimutuel investing. Limited tracks at some of the sports/race books, ie Bet MGM at Beau Rivage only has the Stronarch tracks while the Palace has most of the tracks running. To piggy-back on JK’s commentary regarding horseracing getting together to make the sport more accessible in all jurisdictions, one could do an informative show that breaks down the various options in different states. For example, in LAS we can’t bet CDI tracks, while here in AZ we can’t bet Stronarch tracks. Very confusing and goofy.
Just a thought. Keep up the outstanding work.
Cheers.
I think that sounds like a great article if you want to write it. Could be done as updated, evergreen content. Let me know what you think!
