Great show. Thanks.
Thanks for listening, Bob!!
While the “fog jockey” moniker will likely never go away, the sad part is that no one recounts the redemption: Sylvester Carmouche and the tremendous 16-race winning streak of Hallowed Dreams, who herself was met with mostly derision from those outside of her handlers and a small group of devoted fans (of which I am one). “Holly” never lost a race until Sylvester refused to ride her, knowing that her ankle injury had gotten to the point when it was no longer safe to keep running her. Sylvester was extremely quiet and humble – he was flabbergasted when I asked him to sign the program after each of Hallowed Dreams’ victories, and he had a great sense of the horse under him. I am so happy that Kendrick has continued and built on his father’s true legacy.
Interesting !!!
