| Race 1: Maiden Claiming 12.5k, 3YO, 1 Mile, Dirt | |||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Notes |
| #7 BABBLE | Maiden Claiming 12k, 6F, LRL, Muddy Dirt, 03/13/26 – 3rd | Unhurried; chased even pace from ~11L back into the turn, then began to advance inside before rallying strongly between horses through the lane for 3rd; galloped out well. | He rallied against the speed bias from a long way back into just an even pace that held well – UPGRADE. Gallop out and running style both suggest he can improve for today’s distance too. Needs respecting. |
| #9 MARCAN LOVE | Maiden Claiming 16k, 1M 40Y, TAM, Fast Dirt, 01/25/26 – 2nd | Trailed even pace 3W to far turn; advance 4-5W racing to the top of the lane, then rallied nicely but missed. | He didn’t get much of a set up art all in this evenly run race yet still managed to close well, despite sitting a notably wide (widest of all) trip – small UPGRADE. He can likely improve on this given a strong pace and/or more ground saving trip. |
| Other notes:
– After sitting a fractionally wide trip (widest of all but no more than ~4W turn) over 5 1/2F last time, #1 FLYING TO WORK galloped out well enough to at least offer hope that he’ll handle today’s stretch out. – The chart comment notes how #2 PLENTY ON TAP steadied lightly ~5/8 last time, but it’s a stretch to call it a steady and if it was, then it made no difference to his trip or the result. Still, he did spend the duration of this race on the “dead” inside rail and he wasn’t hard ridden when beaten in the lane either, exasperating the margin of defeat. While neither factor explain his dull effort, there are ways in which he can step back in the right direction today. – #3 Q GOT HOPS could not reach the gate to wire winner when running over a speed favoring track going 6F last time. While his effort is not worthy of an upgrade, the track bias likely hindered his ability to win this race, and he can be somewhat excused for being beaten as the 4/5 fav. His gallop out was okay, offering hope he can handle today’s distance. |

| Race 2: Claiming 7.5k, 4YO+, 1 Mile, Dirt | |||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Notes |
| #1 MORNING THOUGHTS | Claiming 7.5k, 1 1/8M, LRL, Fast Dirt, 03/22/26 – 4th | Dueled through fast fractions on the rail, clear of 3rd, to ~1/4, then faded grudgingly on left lead. | He did best of the speed (ran well to be beaten just 8L) after dueling through fast fractions (24.08, 47.84) that set up well for closers – the three horses who beat him were all 10L+ off the lead at 2nd call. This effort is deserving of a PACE UPGRADE; he can potentially improve if rationing out his speed more efficiently back at a flat mile today. |
| Other notes:
– #2 B D SAINTS is potentially deserving of a little extra credit for his win at Parx last time as he was caught 5-6W on the first turn and was a little wide into the lane too. The track was muddy though, and the outside can often be better under those conditions at the track. Still, a nice effort. – #5 PUDGE BOY PALACE was quite keen in between horses before tiring in the lane going 7F last time and in that race in particular, didn’t necessarily show any signs that he’d improve for today’s stretch out. Note: he was running on short rest too. – It’s difficult to say how much if at all it made a difference to the result, and it may be irrelevant with today’s mile distance in mind, but #6 SEVEN’S ELEVEN did endure a rough beginning in his last race that resulted in him racing further off the pace than usual. His trip thereafter was fine. |
|||
| Race 3: MSW, 3-6YO, 6 Furlongs, Dirt |
| Other notes:
– Granted, the winner is talented, and he was slightly wide on the turn (not always a bad thing at Los Al, though), it was a touch disappointing to see #1 FALCON JET fade into a distant 3rd last time (6 1/2F, LRC, 12/06/25) considering the early pace was not suicidal for the quality of the MSW and speed held very well. Still, it was a fine effort, and his chances seem fairly obvious as he makes his debut for Russell today. – #2 UPSHOT ran a promising race on debut, making up a lot of ground to finish 4th having dropped well back early. Unlike many debutants who fall back early and then make a run, however, he didn’t look that fussed about the kickback, possibly reducing his scope for improvement (compared to other debutants who run a similar closing race first out). Respected, nonetheless. – His effort is not quite worthy of an upgrade and it wasn’t great to see him flop leads late on, however, #3 SUMMERINTHECOUNRTY was bottled up on the rail somewhat last time which prevented him from building as much momentum as would have ideally have been the case into the lane. There’s seemingly potential for him to improve a little on that effort. – Exiting the same race as #3 SUMMERINTHECOUNRTY, #5 COOL CUSTOMER drew the rail and was sent hard inside last time, then went a little to fast for his own good in front (21.84, 44.89) before tiring. The winner was right outside him throughout, so one should be reluctant to give him much of a pace upgrade; however, he might still be able to improve on the effort if rationing out his speed a little better today, aided by a wide post and addition of blinkers. |
| Race 4: Claiming 20k, 3YO+, 1 1/8 Miles, Dirt | |||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Note |
| #2 ARROW SPEED | Starter Allowance, 1 1/16M, LRL, Muddy Dirt, 03/08/26 – 4th | Floated 5-6W first turn; chased hot pace from ~2L back into far turn, then faded grudgingly. | A solid effort at 11/1 considering he was wide on the first turn and positioned close to a fast pace (23.40, 46.92) throughout. He might be capable of a little more than this and is deserving of respect back in claiming company. |
| Other notes:
– While closing from last into just an even pace, #1 CATATUMBO lost a little ground coming ~5-6W into the lane last time. He may be able to improve on that try with a faster pace and/or more ground saving trip, especially over 1 1/8M, today. Makes debut for Frock. – #3 WORK HARD brushed with a foe ~3/8 last time but it made no real difference to his trip or the result – he saved ground chasing a fast pace from real but failed to fire and had no excuse. He was a little short of room at a stage in the lane, which maybe cost him ~0.5-1 lengths and therefore a position, but no more than that. – Although one would have still liked to have seen more from him, #4 DEVIL’S CAY did not look to be suited by either the slow pace or 7F distance in his last race, and it would be a surprise if he was to get back on track returned to two-turns today. – In similar fashion to #4 DEVIL’S CAY, #5 FORMAL AFFAIR was not helped by the slow pace (25.42, 50.52) in his last race at 1 1/16M – he can likely improve back in the right direction if the pace is hotter today as he drops in class. |
|||
| Race 5: Maiden Claiming 35k, 3YO (F), 6 Furlongs, Dirt |
| Other notes:
– #1 SNOW BELLA was not persevered with in the lane when beaten facing restricted stakes foes last time (5 1/2F, CNL, 08/02/25 – 4th), greatly exasperating the margin of defeat. Provided she’s ready off the bench, she’s at least capable of more than she showed there. Returns off layoff with first lasix today. – We can’t really see enough to upgrade the effort, but #3 CUPID’S CHOICE did appear to sit a notably wide trip when finishing 4th in the most horrendous conditions (snowstorm) at Colonial last time. A more ground saving trip and better weather (surely) can see her to better effect. – #4 KNOCK KNOCK didn’t have a lot of room along the rail shortly after the break last time which resulted in her taking back and racing a little further off the pace than her rider may have desired last time, and then she just looked to get tired in the stretch. Expecting more from her second off the layoff and down in class today. |
| Race 6: Claiming 12.5k, 3YO+, 1 Mile, Dirt | |||||||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Note | ||||
| #7 BLO BY’EM | Claiming 12k, LRL, 6F, Muddy Dirt, 03/13/26 – 3rd | Hopped start, away slowest; chased modest pace 4W into turn; hard chase while widest bend; brush upper stretch; evenly for 3rd. | His best work comes when able to run at a hot pace on a fast track; he didn’t get that here – the pace was modest and the track was muddy and speed favoring… the conditions and setup (and the fact he was widest of all) did not allow him to display his best. Although the stretch out today is a question mark (gallop out just average), we could see an improved effort from him. | ||||
| Other notes:
– #1 TETHERED SOUL was forwardly placed while saving ground behind a slow pace on a speed favoring track last time which could warrant a downgrade. However, a modestly run sprint might just not be his best game either (and be the reason for his defeat), and his decent gallop out may support this theory. Drops in class and stretches out today. Note: he wears a run-out blinker; he also brushed with the rail in the lane, but that was inconsequential. – Following an UPGRADABLE effort two-back, #2 EDELWEISS destroyed three rivals last time without ever really being asked to run. If the speed figure is to be believed, he can almost certainly run faster. – Wearing an inside-cup blinker, #4 RERUN FIRE raced very awkwardly again on the slop last time. Tough to trust him bouncing back, even if the track comes up fast today. – #5 UNCLE GREY steadied very slightly around the first turn in his last race, but it was only minor interference and made no real difference to his trip or result. The result and fig are fair. – #6 RIGHT OF RUSH caused interference to a rival and bumped when coming down to the rail entering the first turn of his last race, but it hardly impacted him and made little difference to his trip or the result. |

| Race 7: The Heavenly Cause Stakes, 3YO+ (F), 1 Mile, Dirt |
| Other Notes:
– #1 COMPLEXITY JANE was a little reluctant to load before disappointing somewhat in the Nellie Morris Stakes last time. Note: she also benefited from a closer bias and good pace set up when closing to win the Carousel Stakes two-back. – #2 MS NOTION’s gallop out after winning well over 6F last time was about average, essentially leaving us none the wiser about whether she’ll handle today’s stretch out to a mile. Her stride turnover slightly leans towards sprinting being her best game, though. – #4 KISSEDBYANANGEL was caught notably wide on the first turn last out, but not wide enough to provide an excuse for her underwhelming effort – she’ll need more today. – #5 ATLANTIS QUEEN drew off to win the Nellie Morris Stakes impressively last out – displaying great stamina in doing so – despite having sat a slightly wider than ideal trip. – #6 TAKETHEMONEYHONEY was eased inside the final 1/16 of the Conniver Stakes last time, but it didn’t really make any difference to the winning margin, for better or for worse. She sat a good trip, was hard ridden to close home and didn’t stop running late, for all that her diet stopped pushing – the result and speed fig seem fair. Note: there was a heavy speed bias present this day, but it didn’t seem to make much difference to the result of this three-runner race. |
| Race 8: The Frank Y. Whiteley, 3YO+, 7 Furlongs, Dirt | |||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Note |
| #3 BLUE KINGDOM | Not For Love Stakes, 6F, LRL, Muddy Dirt, 03/07/26 – 2nd | Out-sprinted from outside post early; chasers even pace 4W to turn; steadily advanced in 4P to 5/16, then floated ~5-6W into lane before rallying upsides leader ~1/16; could not get by. | He sat a slightly wide trip (widest of the four runners) while closing from furthest off pace over a heavily speed bias track – while he did also look to hang a little late on, this effort is still deserving of an UPGRADE. |
| #6 CRAB DADDY | Allowance, 7F, LRL, Fast Dirt, 03/15/26 – 1st | Stalked slow opening ¼ inside; dropped back and came under pressure as pace lifted far turn; responded, tipped out 4-5W and then re-rallied with vigor through the lane to win well before galloping out strongly. | A runner who has often done his best work closing into honestly run races, he offered more than the running line suggests here, changing gears and rallying smartly while a touch wide past rivals who had gone slow early and weren’t exactly falling down late. Suspect that if the pace had been stronger, he’d have won by further, and his gallop out suggest he had something in reserve too. Possibly capable of more, lasix off. |
| Other notes:
– #1 BOLD DIVERSION probably wasn’t ever going to hit the board at 22/1 in the Jennings Stakes last time; however, considering the class level, he didn’t have quite enough pace to run at either to see him to absolute best effect (slow opening ¼ resulted in speed holding well). Cuts back to 7F today. – #5 POINT DUME was able to establish a relatively uncontested lead in the General George Stakes last time and then set sustainable fractions for the class level in front. Therefore, there is a way in which you can knock him; however, overall, he was just very good on the day and was likely winning whichever way the race panned out. Live player right back. – #7 QUINT’S BREW may well have just simply been best when gamely wiring the field in the Not For Love Stakes last time. However, there was also a significant speed bias present, which very well may have aided him in victory over #3 BLUE KINGDOM. Note: he showed a tendency to lug out from the 1/2m pole all the way to the wire. |
|||
| Race 9: The Primonetta, 3YO+ (F), 6 Furlongs, Dirt | |||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Note |
| #1 WISCONSIN GAL | Allowance, 6F, TP, Fast Synthetic, 03/11/26 – 2nd | Traveled powerfully stalking hot pace inside into turn; waited on heels under heavy restraint when full of run racing to ¼, then bumped and bobbled a little when trying to split foes approaching top of lane; recovered and managed to sneak through 2W, then drove into a narrow lead ~1/8 but did not have the momentum of the winner and settled for 2nd. | She suffered notable trouble when forced to wait (when she needed to be building momentum) on the far turn, then lost momentum when bumping a foe at the top of the lane; the winner sat a much smoother trip closing from further back into the hot pace and WC can be listed as an unlucky loser. UPGRADE this effort. Switches back to dirt today. |
| Other notes:
– The talented winner of #4 ALANI’s last race managed to establish an uncontested lead early and then set sustainable fractions on front, consequently making ALANI’s task a little harder as the 1/5 fav. Overall, however, she didn’t have that much of an excuse. Note: she galloped out in front. – Although there was a significant speed bias present, #5 DWELLING LEGACY still went too fast early when trying to defeat TAKETHEMONEYHONEY in a three-runner renewal of the 7F Conniver Stakes last time; cutting back to 6F and rationing out her speed a little more efficiently may help her improve on that effort. |
|||
| Race 10: The Native Dancer Stakes, 3YO+, 1 1/8 Miles, Dirt | |||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Note |
| #1 LATE NITE CALL | Allowance, 1 1/16M, LRL, Fast Dirt, 03/28/26 – 1st | Sent into first turn from inside post; in tight along fence entering first turn and hit rail, hindering her momentum; recovered and dueled inside through honest fractions, well clear of 3rd, to the far turn; edged into clear lead ~5/16, then gamely held firm to wire despite drifting out. | She managed to bag the win here despite having hit the rail entering the first turn and then endured a pace duel throughout which favorited closers (sparing partner eventually finished tailed off; 2nd and 3rd pace finishers were both 10L+ off lead at 2nd call). This was an UPGRADABLE effort. Returns off short rest today with lasix off. |
| Other notes:
– #2 WARP NINE’s last effort finishing 2nd to #6 WILD VINE is not worthy of an upgrade; however, Wyner’s trainee did sit a fractionally wider trip than WILD VINE and was slightly worse positioned in the slowly run race. Furthermore, he was carrying 10lbs more than the winner; he galloped out in front and there are reasons to believe he can at least narrow the gap on that foe today. – There was a closer bias present at Parx when #4 UNCLE HEAVY rallied into 3rd last time, possibly warranting a downgrade. Note: the “very wide final turn” comment in the chart comments is an exaggeration – for a closer like him whereby momentum is everything, his trip was fine. – #5 XCELLENT START sat a fabulous trip closing into a pace that collapsed on his way to victory over 1 1/8M last time – downgrade; holding reservations about whether he can replicate that level of form (78 Beyer) with a lesser trip and lasix off today. – #7 OTELLO was a little too keen early when running over 1 1/2M last time; cutting back in distance today could suit. |
|||
| Race 11: Claiming 20k, 3YO (F), 6 Furlongs, Dirt | |||
| Horse | Race | Trip | Note |
| #6 LAST GIFT | Claiming 25k, 5 1/2F, LRL, Fast Dirt, 03/15/26 – 1st | Dueled between foes through fast fractions into turn; dropped inside and started to edge away ~5/16; opened up to of lane, then ran home strongly to the wire. | She won well despite having been part of a fast, closer friendly pace, and she was caught between foes early which always entitles a runner to extra credit. This effort is worthy of a PACE UPGRADE. She may be able to offer more again if rationing out her speed more efficiently. |
| Other notes:
– The chart comment notes how #1 EIMEAR had to steady ½ mile pole before going onto score last time, but this steady was relatively inconsequential – he barely lost any momentum or position, recovered quickly and his overall trip was a good one; the result and speed fig are fair. – #2 SOCNIC SASS sat a great trip and had a wonderful pace setup (fast pace strongly favored closers) when winning on the synth at Turfway last time, possibly warranting a downgrade. Makes debut for Maldonado today returning to dirt. – It wasn’t surprising to see #5 STAY IN TUNE sent for the lead early before going onto break her maiden last time, given she broke from the rail on an off track (connections’ hands were forced regarding tactics given the circumstances). One would assume she’s more tactical than that and she might well end up off the lead today with a wider draw, possibly impacting the shape of today’s race. |

Horses to Follow
R5: KNOCK KNOCK (2/1 ML)
It’s unlikely we saw the best of KNOCK KNOCK when tackling open MSW company at the Fair Grounds last out—she was making her dirt debut, returning from 244 days off, and drew the rail, which didn’t help. Now dropping into maiden claiming company second off the layoff, with added fitness and a better draw, she’s set for a step forward that could easily see her graduate in today’s fifth.
R8: TWIRLING BEAUTY (7/2 ML)
TWIRLING BEAUTY has only made three starts without Lasix, but two of them stand out as clear career-best efforts—an 85 Beyer when runner-up to JUSTINQUESO in last year’s Lady Erie Stakes, and a dominant allowance win in New York last time (90 Beyer). Notably, connections again opted to forgo the medication in that latest start, suggesting she may simply be better without it. The form has already been franked, too, with multiple stakes winner IRISH MAXIMA—beaten eight lengths that day—returning to win with an 89 Beyer. Either of those efforts makes her a major player in today’s Primonetta, and from gate two she should land a favorable forward position. At a 7/2 morning line, she looks a serious win contender.
