AQUEDUCT – 12/8/22

RACE 1: 4-3-1-5

#4 BONANA FANNA FOE goes third off a layoff for trainer Chris Englehart after improving last time out when 2nd on a frozen track at Finger Lakes.  She has run well at this level and has the speed to stay within range early, which is an asset in this woeful field.

RACE 2: 1-2-4-5

#1 PRAIRIE FIRE was re-claimed by Linda Rice last time out at the 10k level.  She is moving up in class and cutting back in trip off the 7 furlong trip last time out.  Her versatility is an asset and she is a deserving favorite here.

RACE 3: 2-1-5-4

The speed of the race is #2 MY BEAUTY PRINCESS, who is likely to get command with the blinkers going on.  She ran a vastly improved dirt race last time out and was on the wrong part of the racetrack for trainer Carlos Martin.  There’s still upside here given her limited dirt resume.

RACE 4: 6-4-1A-2

#6 TRUCULENT is dangerous on a massive class drop for a dangerous barn.  The negative here is that trainer Gustavo Rodriguez claimed this son of Raison d’Etat for 40k two starts back and he’s now in for 20k.  He has the speed to be within range early and will be a square price.

RACE 5: 3-1-2-4

#3 INSPECTOR is interesting in that he is not coming out of the 1st race on November 13.  The also-rans from that race have a dull look to them while this son of Flatter has run in two very tough MSW events.  This colt was never in a comfortable spot last time out and he should improve with more experience  for a barn that has heated up of late.

RACE 6: 6-2-1-4

#6 PRINCE OF PHAROAHS was claimed by Mertkan Kantarmaci last time out and now stretches out to 9 furlongs.  This barn is 21% with dirt routers first off of claims ($2.00 ROI) and this son of American Pharoah is going to get an ideal trip stalking the pace.

RACE 7: 4-3-2-6

#4 DIVINE WINE is much better than these rivals on paper for trainer Linda Rice as she goes 2nd off a claim.  She will wear blinkers and should be in a more forward early position.  Her two dirt races are just much better than what her rivals here have ever put forth.

RACE 8: 4

With two scratches this is just a field of three and #4 FOUETTE should control things on the front end.

RACE 9: 9-5-7-2

#9 RUNABOUT goes first off a claim for Rudy Rodriguez and should be heard from late in here.  There’s enough pace to set up his late bid and he should be better suited to a more patient ride from the bug boy today.  He was too close to a strong pace last time out.
