Parx Spot Plays

Race 2: #3 Bird Ruler

  • Bird Ruler I think is in a good spot here. This field is somewhat tough but at the end of the day these are only $7500 horses. Soto is 16% off the claim and is bringing this one from Monmouth to Parx. This horse has a Parx run style and gets jockey Jorge Vargas Jr, who won a race here yesterday.

Race 3: #9 Praetorian Guard

  • This 2yo is already a gelding which means these connections don’t care about breeding, they only want to win. This horse has a strong consistent worktab at Parx for top connections. It also attracts jockey Mychel Sanchez who is very good with 2yos. I think this horse will outperform his morning line.

Race 10: #4 Uncle Ernie

  • I don’t know who is riding Uncle Ernie but I know that this horse fits very well in this stake race. Not many horses in this field like 7F or have even tried it. 7F at Parx is pretty unique as not many tracks have a flat 7F distance. Last time Uncle Ernie ran at Parx going 7F he won by 7 and earned his 2nd highest career speed figure and arguably ran his best career race. I think this is the one to beat despite the jockey still to be announced.
