Further thoughts on Liberal Arts performance in Southwest Stakes. Nick groups Liberal Arts in with Carbone and Otto the Conqueror in having a poor performance. However, rewatch race and the eventual winner Mystik Dan cuts off Liberal Arts about 1/3 through the race, nothing dirty, just beats Liberal Arts to the inside spot, but Liberal Arts has to check and loses all of his momentum. He regroups and then takes advantage of the same inside bias to finish a strong third, almost passing Just Steel. Without the check Liberal Arts may have challenged Mystik Dan to at least make it interesting. Thoughts?
