The show begins with PTF hosting Naomi Tukker (live in south Florida) and Nick Tammaro talking Gulfstream Park Oaks, Florida Derby, and Arkansas Derby. Horses covered include Forte, Dorth Vader, Sacred Wish, Atomically, Reincarnate, Rocket Can and many more.
Next up, PTF welcomes Dean Keppler as they talk about the late Pick Five at Santa Anita on Saturday.
Then, Klaus Ebner drops by to talk about the Japanese dominance on Dubai World Cup night, to look ahead to their Kentucky Derby challenge, and talk about the JRA races Saturday night.
Pete closes the show with his views on the Aqueduct Pick Six on Saturday.
Yes, California is closer for Japanese horses to travel than say Dubai or UK but I assume they are like humans in that traveling from west to east is typically worse than east to west so it makes sense they might do better in Dubai than California. Flying over the poles may help mitigate some of the effects. I assume trainers are aware of issues involved. https://trainermagazine.com/european-trainer-articles/2013/8/8/do-horses-suffer-from-jet-lag
Same thinking applies to horses coming from New York or Florida to California versus the reverse.
The best info on jet lag I have found was from a neurosurgeon and I suspect most of it applies to other mammals. https://jackkruse.com/jet-lag-rx-human-flight-biohacking/
