Most Likely Winner: Race 2- (4) GANDHI’S CASTLE
Race 1: (4) USED TO BE FUN was fourth last time out at a similar level, but she finds a much, much softer field here tonight- she will likely be sent early to assume command look to make every pole a winning one from there. (5) MOLLY BOLTS has plenty of experience and finally got her maiden status revoked last time out after being very close in previous tries. She does have to take on winners for the first time tonight, but she should have every chance to be competitive here. (2) WHIZ PASS should get a relaxed trip in mid-pack and should come with her usual late kick to pick up the pieces here.

Race 2: Little needs to be said on the top choice here- (4) GANDHI’S CASTLE absolutely towers over this field and should go off at 1-9, go to the lead out of the gate, and win with complete ease. The stablemate, (2) DANCING DESTINY, is also pretty talented and is clearly best of the rest, but will likely see her three race win streak end tonight at the hands of her stable companion. (6) MARY’S LISTED NEXT returns to her preferred distance and should be able to pick up the pieces here for third. Difficult race to make too much money on in my opinion, but maybe try a straight trifecta for a couple of dollars to profit a little.

Race 3: (6) SMOOKIE will likely employ different tactics from last time out when she was caught in a contentious early pace battle. She broke her maiden just two starts ago but sitting just off of the early pace, so she may want to try that tactic again tonight against many of the same pace foes she saw in her last race. (2) SINGLE MOM has the speed figures to win this race, but she will be at a disadvantage from a tactical standpoint as she doesn’t have the early speed to keep up with the leaders early. Would not advise betting her strictly to win as an odds-on favorite. (7) SUPER WILDCAT drops in class and gets Lasix for the first time- worth a try underneath at a price.

Race 4: (3) RIDING CLOUD NINE picked up a win against similar two starts ago and once here likely won’t receive the respect he deserves based on the 8-1 morning line- could certainly be in the mix to pull the upset here. (6) NAUTICAL WARRIOR returns off of a layoff for a top trainer hitting at 24% in such spots. He figures to be a part of the early pace mix in here. (4) KITE SURFER is another one that should appreciate the class relief from some allowance tries, ignoring his last out effort when he lost the rider.
Picks: 3-6-4
Race 5: (1) ELLIES LIL CASTLE has been knocking on the door, but still remains a maiden after four starts. She manages to find a much softer spot here tonight, though, and she should get the job done as the favorite. (2) ELIANAGRACE is the second logical choice in here as she put forth a strong debut effort last time out to build on here; she should also appreciate the stretch out in distance. (8) MOONLIT SHADOW rounds out formful selections here as she took a big step forward in her second career start last time out and she should certainly appreciate the added distance here tonight.

Race 6: (2) WOLFINBARGER figures to be the early pace here and should get an easier time of it on the front end then last time out, when he still managed to hold on for second despite a contentious early pace battle. (4) SUNMAN has his best race in a while last time out and he will look to back it up with another strong effort tonight- certainly will not be the 14-1 price he was last time out against similar. (1) ROCKET ROAD was unimpressive last time out in his debut for the barn, but he does have some strong back class that could make him competitive here at a price if he can run back to it.

Race 7: (4) LILBITALILY just missed last time out against similar after leading most of the way and getting caught in the stretch; expect another speed mission try from her tonight. (5) STOWE ANGEL certainly could win here, but it’s tough to take her at a short price when she’s failed against similar two starts in a row at 3-5 and 2-5 with really no excuses. (2) MOMA TIGER was a strong second last time out against similar, but the turn back in distance tonight is the major knock against her here; nonetheless, she could certainly pick up a minor slice.
Picks: 4-5-2
Race 8: (1) WHOA BLACK BETTY was a solid second last time out after being way off of the pace early on. With the rail draw tonight, she should be able to get away a little closer to the early pace and could mow them all down late if she comes with a late kick as strong as last time out. (10) SILKEN BELLE comes off of a really strong win, but she likely won’t get as easy of a lead here tonight and she’ll have to work out a trip from the outside draw. (6) SECRET CASTLE drops to the lowest level he’s raced at before and should be a serious contender; however, she hasn’t shown a whole lot in recent starts and could disappoint here as a heavy favorite.
