Trip Note: Didn’t break the sharpest. In a bit tight while headstrong near the rear into the FT. Angled to the far outside at the TOS and made a belated rally for 4th.

Trip Note: Big effort on the front end. Set wicked fractions up front but did it comfortably. Her ears were twitching back and forth. Slipped away from the field at the 1/8th pole, but was run down by the big favorite late.

Trip Note: Bet strong off the 8/1 ML. Raced uncovered 3W the entire BS. Did receive a bump as they turned from home by an outside rival but she was only grinding in place. We don’t feel it cost her anything. With that said, she gets a pass due to the track condition.
Race Note: Turf course was Yielding. Winner rallied from mid-pack down the center of the course.

Trip Note: Not sure why the connections took a shot against the boys on this day. Missed the break and spotted the field a length. The rest of this trip was a scared/hesitant ride by the jock. Had his foot on the brake the entire BS. He let rivals around him dictate moves going into the FT and it left him in an uncomfortable spot between rivals while checking for the majority of the FT. Even at the TOS, she still wasn’t in the clear. Rallied well when allowed to stretch her legs the final 1/8th. Good gallop out! Definitely deserves a pass. Huge rider upgrade today!

5 – Warren’s Showtime

Trip Note: Was in a bit tight coming out of the chute and exchanged a few light bumps with an inside rival as a result. Raced uncovered 2W (3-deep) down the BS. Made her move 3W approaching the ¼-pole. Took over the lead past the 3/16th-pole but was out finished by the winner and tagged late for place money.
Race Note: Rail at zero feet. Winner rallied 3W around the FT to win and pull off the 19/1 upset

Trip Note: Wrangled back into the 1st turn to sit behind the early leader. Ended up in a pocket position while a bit headstrong down the BS. On hold just a touch around the FT while the jock spied for a seam. Found one in the 2-3path and kicked on through. Outkicked to the wire by #7 Croughavouke, but galloped out well in front of this field. One could argue she was best on this day. She had to stop all her momentum at a critical point while the winner was in the clear throughout.

Trip Note: Very nice ride by Rispoli. The filly was headstrong down the BS while wanting to go. This was compounded when a rival made a premature BS blitz into the FT. Rispoli got the filly to relax before letting her go 4W past the ¼ pole. Leveled off in mid-stretch to get up for the win. She’s always had talent, and the blinkers may be the key she’s been missing!

Trip Note: Caught wide through the first half of this race. 4-deep on the 1st turn. 4-5deep while in a line-up of 4-across down the BS. Jock eased back to last to get out of the congestion. Angled to the inside for the FT run. Got back into contention but was only able to grind away in place in the lane.

Trip Note: The chart caller must have been watching a different race than we were. He wasn’t closing fast. It was a methodical grind in the stretch. No traffic obstacles to speak of in this journey. Angled off the rail to the outside on the FT.

Trip Note: Raced 3W (5-deep) down the BS while tracking #8 Six Point Rack. Came under pressure and tired on the FT.

Trip Note: Hard asked every step of the way. Nibbled at the entire BS while not responding. Put to stiff pressure on the FT and grinded away in the lane. Jock earned his 4th place check with this ride. Connections drop this one thru the roof today.

Trip Note: Off a half step slow, but was hard sent to make the lead into the 1st turn. Ran off before the jock slowed the pace down, down the BS. Tried to rebreak on the FT, but did not have another burst as he lugged out and tired.

Trip Note: At the ¼ pole no one could have convinced us to bet him to win. Was under stiff pressure while still at the rear. Eventually responded and spilt rivals in the 5-path to get up in time. He’s ultra-consistent and a definite grinder.

Trip Note: Not a ton of effort given on this ride. She stumbled badly at the start, though did recover quickly. Jock tried to move up the rail on the FT, but there was no room to go through. Eased back as a result. Then he left her buried on the rail behind horses the rest of the way to the wire. Not sure what to make of it, as no one was beating the winner. However, this did have a bit of a “no try” feel to it. Gets a rider upgrade today.
Race Note: Winner was dropping MDC40K to 20K. Advanced up the rail into the FT before angling out past the 1/4 and drew off to win in hand.

Trip Note: Draw a line thru this race. The bobble at the start meant everything as she wasn’t able to show her speed. Ran even the rest of the way around the track. GetS blinkers and the apprentice today. Expect much improved speed and that would make her very dangerous in this field.

Trip Note: This was a BTL effort. Not noted in the PPs but, was bumped several times early on and forced to check back. This left him a lot further back than normal. Moved up 3W but about 5-6 deep on the FT. Jock rode strangely in the lane. Almost seemed like he wanted to give up/was frustrated. Stood straight up in the irons the final 16th and coasted in. Drop back down in class makes sense.
