Trip Note: Sent out of the gate, but not quick enough to get to the front. Jock audibled and pulled back to try to relax him. Raced high-headed for a bit and had to be guided to the outside before relaxing. 5W around the FT with no rally while under pressure.
Race Note: Winner was an east coast shipper first of the claim for D’Amato who triple jumped his condition to win this race. Was well bet 12/1 ML to 7/2. Moved up 4W off the FT after negotiating subtle traffic to get off the rail earlier in the race. Winner came back to win for the starter allowance condition next out before running off the board in the G2 Pat O’Brian.

Trip Note: Very game run. Pressured the early leader while running on the rail. Jock never panicked and knew he had this field measured. The place finisher made an ominous run off the FT, and Micro repelled him easily. It is curious that the connections are not being more aggressive placement wise today.
Race Note: The 6th place finisher (Little Juanito) came back to win last Monday for N2X condition at 5.5F on the turf.

Trip Note: Not noted in the PPs, but he bobbled at the start. Tracked in behind the early leaders into the FT. Split a seam in the 3-path past the ¼ pole and fended off a stubborn 60/1 longshot foe in the lane.
Race Note: 3-horse pronged duel early set it up for Pyron.

4 – Grinning Tiger

Trip Note: Ran like a maniac. Incredibly rank through the stretch the first time. No idea what the jock was doing. Had the lead and then chocked him while willingly conceding the lead. This only caused Tiger to become more rank. Raced erratically while now the pace “pressurer” down the BS. Continually drifted in and out. At the TOS he drifted out with no room to do so and caused a chain reaction that caused a rival to clip heels and go down. This ride was very uncomfortable to watch and it’s fortunate both the fallen horse and jockey were okay.
Race Note: Rail at 0 feet. The winner (Galilean) cashed in on an ideal pocket trip. He came back to win last Sunday in a state-bred stakes race.

Trip Note: Broke well but was intentionally taken back by the jock. Followed the move of the winner (#4 Illapawnie) around the FT as the early leaders blew the turn. Hard asked in the lane but could only manage to grind away.
Race Note: #4 Illapawnie sat a perfect trip in behind the eyeball duel and inherited the lead as one of the leaders bore out taking the other one with her.

Trip Note: Sent off a big overlay from the 6/1 ML. Sat a cozy trip behind a 4-horse stack approaching the FT. Angled off the rail to the 3-path at the TOS and grinded away to win as the early leader tired badly the final 16th.

Trip Note: Very deceiving running line! Off a half step slow. Rated near the rear as a result of being in tight going into the 1st turn. As they approached the FT, she got shuffled for a good 1/8th of a mile and lost about 4-5L of positioning. She didn’t get out of “jail” until the ¼ pole when she was able to swing to the far outside and finished up BTL. Gets a huge rider upgrade today!

Trip Note: See below race note. From what we could see, sat a good rail trip throughout. Clearly 2nd best behind the run-away winner.
Race Note: Hard to see much through the fog. Favorite stalked the pace mid-pack and moved up 2W around FT to run away from the field late. Winner finished an unlucky 2nd later on in the meet for N1X condition and then came back for the same level and destroyed N1X condition last Sunday.

Trip Note: While she was in tight on the 1st turn, we wouldn’t read too much into it. She held her position thru it. She was in tight again on the FT and that trouble is not noted. The part that is ridiculous about this trouble is that it was her own fault. There was no one around her and the jock ran her into the backs of (2) rivals. Steadied briefly before angling 3W around them. Drifted in while closing in the stretch and finished up willingly enough.
