Gulfstream Park Friday Jan 26th Early Pick 5

Pegasus Eve card, good luck to everyone.  Early Post for Saturday, will do my best to get 100% of the work done and blog up on the early races by Friday evening.

Race 1 looks to be a replay of the Dec 29th, nothing that is overly exciting.  I will be using both A’s equally and moving along.
A – 6  A J’ Memory looks to get a similar trip to her last on Dec 29th, will be chasing J J Monet again but should not be as wide this time which could tightened the gap up a bit.
A – 7  J J Monet should clear from the outside as she did in her last and will look to hold off A J’s Memory at the wire.

There are others in here dropping, 1st Dirt , etc.   but none have showed much talent previously.

Race 2 I found my self searching for something that is not here, I will look to spread in this spot.
A – 2 Marian Cross has a couple turf works where she was under a strong hold and finished well, then followed that up with an above average gate work.  Nothing that will make you run to the windows but she did nothing wrong.
A – 5 Really Thirsty I have no information on, but Irad lands here and you know his agent has done his homework.
A – 7 Caboodle showed off some big speed on debut and will be the one to catch.  Note – Workmate Wemby goes in the 4th
A – 8 Rainy Night goes 3rd out for Lynch who is on fire right now, no question horse deserves some attention at the windows.  The negative is she was hard ridden early to keep pace then cut inside and picked up some tired horses, but I do think the surface will move her forward along with the added experience.

B – 3 Perilous has 3 starts under her after missing the break last and making a wide move into the turn she flattened out quickly not showing much.  But Jose sticks which is a good sign and we have yet to see her on the turf.

There are others we have yet to see enough of to completely rule out.   So hitting the ALL button and hoping for a bomb would not be out of the question, just not my style.

Race 3
A – 3 Outlaw Country has won 5 of his last 7 races, the question mark last time was the tapeta and he answered that in a major way.  Winning fairly easy after waiting at rail then splitting horses late at the wire.   Trip is the only thing beating him here.

Race 4 is the 2nd spread race of the sequence.
A – 3 Paisan of course will take money, drops in class with Irad getting on here.   Tries the tapeta for the first time.
A – 4 Imapeppa took money on debut and ran very well.  Was claimed out that debut and looks to be a fair price in this spot.  Barn plays the claiming game well and would expect some improvement.
A – 5 Always Dialed has flashed some talent and takes another drop in class today while cutting back from a route to sprint.  Bridgmohan will send, the question will be is this colt fast enough to get the lead here?
A – 7 Wemby has the fastest race of the group, although he was hard ridden early and ran around track fully extended same pace throughout.   Maybe that is enough to win here.
A – 12 Go Go Ge will be cutting back to a sprint for the first time with Zayas, more of one I defensively.
A – 13 Sir Banana Brian I bet last time out and I will use today if he gets in the field simply because I do not want to get beat by him.   I do not like the post today and this group looks a bit tougher than what he faced last time out.

Race 5 I will use the obvious 3 and will press my top selection a bit over the other 2.  But overall I thought the sequence was a bit tough not offering a lot of value.   So leaving out a few in here with reasons to win.
A – 2 Beach Party Bingo is lightly raced for Saffie and now gets turf for the first time after 3 solid tapeta races.
A – 4 Beach Ready ran huge when getting the turf last out and to me is the horse to beat in a good betting race that looks to have the money spread around.
A – 8 Fish Mooney has faced tough company while always showing up and running her race.  Her handful of turf tries I think she has run just a touch better than her synthetic races.

For the last 5 races check the blog as John Pinder is back in action this week with the late Pick 5 coverage.
