Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 3 – 8 – 9
# 3 Bessamay is a logical winner of today’s opening leg of the sequence, he is very consistent and is going to get that first victory sooner than later. #8 Capricious Outcome is a well bred son of Practical Joke making only his second career start after a year and a half layoff. Connections and his potential are too strong to exclude him in this spot. #9 War Legend will attempt the turf for the first time and has the pedigree and running style to be successful.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 4 – 5
#4 Omo Ten Girl came up a little short last time out to the morning line favorite who was scratched from today’s race. Off of that gallant effort and the race three back when she showed her ability to get to the front and stay, she is a viable win candidate. #5 Wiggle An’ Wine drops in class after being claimed for new trainer Kent Sweezey. She has the ability to get the front and not look back, if she can’t we have her stable mate as our other selection.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 1 – 2 – 4
# 1 Vixen had to overcome the surface change and a bumpy trip last time out; should be primed and ready. #2 Hang the Moon ships in from the west coast and moves to the barn of trainer Saffie Joseph Jr.; she has a very good resume of graded stakes competition. Given today’s unclear projected pace scenario, she could be the one to run by them all late. #4 Amie’s Symphony should improve as she moves back to the turf, she also like our other choices should have a good opportunity for the victory.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 4
#4 Shred the Gnar is the one to catch in the feature race of the day, she will also be the key to us getting paid from today’s late pick 5! She looks to have the pace advantage, and her speed looks to be untouchable.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 5 – 1 – 4
#5 Relampago Verde is dropping in class today for strong connections and has the versatile speed that you need in these types of turf races. #1 Global Prosperity also drops in class today and gets the riding services of Javier Castellano. #4 Hamilton’s Way returns to the surface that allows his late kick to be most effective.
