Gulfstream Park Sat April 13th Late Pick 5

Good luck to everyone in the Grade 1 Gamble today, I did not make the trip so will be taking my shots from home.

Race 6   I nearly want all of them on a ticket but be tough to do with some tough races in the sequence.   With the scratch of the 1 Practiko leaves the 2 as a lone A but also moves to the rail.   Ticket structure I will have 1 Ticket singling the 2 and another for a lessor increment with my other choices in this leg.
A – 2 Threethirtythree looks to be a heavy favorite in here and is the most likely winner but the gap between to others is not very big.   Last time was his worst effort since arriving to Gulfstream when he was drawn inside which is the case again today.

B – 3 Raging Fury gets back to the dirt today for the first time with the addition of Lasix.     Zayas lands here instead of the 6 Beastly Speed, 2nd off the Bench and 2nd time Gelding.   Lots of reasons to include.
B – 6 Beastly Speed showed a lot of promise after 2 starts but since has gone off rails a bit.   The Dec 3rd race would best the group easily, but has not been the same horse and the big red flag is Edgar is on the 3.

C – 4 – Apollo Code looks to be working well off the maiden win, unfortunately none of those works are on XBTV.   Gets Lasix today and would not require much of a step forward to fit with this group.

Race 7 features a group that frequently disappoint showing little consistency.
A – 1 Six Feet Apart will need to break sharp and if she does someone will need to put pressure on her or she could wire this field.  Cuts back to the 5 furlongs is a benefit.
A – 6 Lovin Makes Cents has been facing tougher for the past year and I do think she is better going the 5 furlongs vs the 5.5.   She is the deserving favorite but hard to trust.
A – 7 Drinks On Me is the opposite of the favorite consistently showing up and running her race, but if the favorites runs her best race then Drinks On Me is running for 2nd.   Having both on tickets

B – Foxy Lady does have a race scattered in her past performances that fit with this group, as I am likely using the 3 A’s I will include her as well.

Race 8 will have a couple short price horses but there are some interesting alternatives.
A – 4 Beanpot is the likely favorite as this filly is very quick and will be tough to catch.   What I have seen of her I thought Clement would stretch her out, but he trains horses I just watch them so best go with his judgement.
A – 10 Artemis Sound is an A although I do not see how she is going to turn the tables on Beanpot as once again likely will be caught wide and trying to run down a ground saving Beanpot.
A – 13 Song of Norway draws into the field for Ward is dangerous having showed plenty of speed as a 2 year old and gets an outside post.

B – 2 Bubbly Champagne is one I have been waiting to get on the turf, but of course this scenario happens.   The 1 Greavette ran at Keeneland so this moves this filly to the rail.    D’Angelo Pre-Entered her for the BC Juvenile Turf Sprint last year and she is yet to run a race on the grass.

If you wanted to use the 11 and 12 , neither would shock anyone if they won this race but needing to narrow I likely will not have on my tickets.

Race 9
A – 1 Hihellohowareyou will be a very short price and also the strongest single in the sequence.    Drawing the rail is the lone negative but I think she is far superior than this field.

Race 10
A – 2 Exercise of Power is a must use in this spot.  He should have won on debut at Laurel last year but had a horrible trip then the exact opposite in December having a dream trip with no excuse.   Comes off a break as a gelding and has been working lights out.    I do not know what to make of the Ruiz / Zayas jockey switch
A – 4 Kake’s Arrow should be the favorite after leading last time when headed this colt dug in and ran his eye balls out through the wire.   Out of that race Porquerolles was entered at Keeneland this week but was scratched when the race came off the turf and the race was won impressively by the 3rd place finisher Malibu Springs who has won 2 of his last 3 since adding blinkers.
A – 6 Sentenza ran very well on debut not being overly asked at any point.   Colt has a big stride and very nice mover, not sure if he has an extra gear but maybe we find out today.
A – 12 Money Magician burnt a bunch of money on debut when never running a step although he did stumble a bit out of the gate.    Prior to debut was working extremely well with the likes of Granthor, Tuscan Sky, OnMoonlight bay.

B – 3 Fly Right should probably be an A in this spot but I have had enough of him.   Include him if getting beat by him will just melt down your day but I likely will toss.

C – 8 Gallant Mischief has worked well all winter for Casse.   Stretches out for the first time and is a big colt that looks like a router not a sprinter.
