Gulfstream Park Saturday Jan 20th Full Card Race 11 – Royal Majesty by Frankel maybe the highlight of the day

Little short on time last 48 hours and 100% of the work comes before the blog so expect some typos lol.

Race 1 is a bit of a dart throwing contest but will proceed to splitting hairs.   I do want the ALL button somewhere.
A – 1 Boot’s On the Moon goes first out for Spatz whose horses have been firing.     I did not find any works to view, but I do have a note recently worked with Oro Oro who won yesterday’s 9th.
A – 4 True Spun for Fawkes who is only 1 for 22 the last 5 years with all  maidens 1st out/Spt/TURForSYN.   Dec. 17th workout she was hard held early then pulled well clear the more experienced Darling Darley who is also in here.  Seeing a gate work would give me much more confidence.

B – Everyone else here   I have a couple short price singles in the early Pick 5, so does allow me to catch the ALL button here.

Race 2 is much like the 1st today, not a lot to go on with a lackluster group.     Once again I will put most of my money through my A selections but will have a ticket with ALL
A – 7 Praiseworthy is 0 for 10.   Of those 10 starts the lone turf route stands out.   Never saved a step being 3 wide from the start, stayed on grinding away in the stretch holding position to the wire.  I know it was vs Md Claimers and I am assuming the speed figures are low(They are turned off in my formulator).       But who in this race scares you?
A – 8 Carnival Dancer should go off as the favorite here dropping in for a tag after getting some experience.   I will use defensively, but not sure how this one’s debut was any better of a race than the 7 ran.
A – 9 Passage for Clement who is 21% in this spot.  I have ZERO info on, No workout videos, Nothing on report.       SMH , here is a betting product but zero information….   Seems we could do better and not have to pay for it.

B – 1 Whiting Field
B – 3 Poliglota I guess I will list as a B but…..    Debuts at Tampa 47-1 and does not run a step.   Changes barn and gets Irad now will be 2-1.   C’MON MAN
B – 6 Echo Lane

Race 3 will be 1 of 2 singles in the sequence for me.
A – 8 I Am the Game ran big off the bench last out and I am going to count on him to repeat that performance here.

Exacta – 8 over 3
Daily Double – Payout Pending     8 into the 5 in Race 4

Race 4 is the 2nd single, this one holds the most confidence for me.  Also the 1st leg of the Tropical Turf MSW Pick 3
A – 5 Lady Emily Kathryn looks to be the shortest price horse of the day.  Everyone seen the trouble she had in her last and they can read the comments on the form.   “Checked 1/4, tite str”   She actually was checked twice here and still finished well.

Race 5
A – 1 Above Par 1st off the claim and drops in class, the rail post is a concern.   But there is a chance that she sits right behind my top pick in here and saves ground, then would have a chance.  By biggest concern is the barn does not like the post scratches which would put my top choice on the rail.
A – 2 Six Feet Apart has plenty of speed and an inside post.   If she gets clear, they will have a tough time catching her.

B – 8 Runaway Breeze is a bit interesting.   Was claimed last out by O’Connell, turn back to a sprint where she has been effective in the past and gets a jock upgrade.   The lack of early pace could get her in traffic trouble.

Race 6 The scratch of Boldness here creates a bit of mess for me.   I would not mind having ALL button somewhere in here now
A – 3 Rhymes Like Dimes I thought ran very well last out and seems to always give an honest effort.
A – 5 Toscanito was not in the fold for me until post scratch of my top selection.
A – 8 Rod Two Rod has speed and an outside post.   I do not think he is worthy of his 8/5 ML , but in a field of question marks definitely one to include.

B – 9 Burning Man is the price horse I want on some tickets.   8 years old and 41 starts now tries the dirt?   I would assume if this horse liked the dirt he would have ran on it by now, he can handle the distance and if this race falls apart maybe …  Just maybe…..

C – Everyone Else

Race 7 is the second leg of the Tropical Turf MSW Pick 3…   This is the leg where I want the most coverage.
A – 3 Triple Expresso looks to be the favorite and with 3 solid races on the resume deserves to be.   I will use this one as an A, but no way I could bet this horse.  The debut at Colonial looked the best of the 3 where he closed into a slow pace.  Then the next 2 starts I was just not impressed, cruises along nicely and looks ready to go.  Then when you hit the gas pedal your porsche is suddenly a Tesla with a low battery.  Maybe the now 3 year old has improved but will have to show me.
A – 4 Modica will be my top pick here here.   Last out ran well when he caught a talented group of maidens and the race prior moved early and finished with good energy while on left lead most of the lane.
A – 9 Live to Ride move to Walsh barn which is a bit chilly.   This one did run well Oct. 26th closing into an absolutely crawling pace, was a bit slow to change leads but finished well.

B – 1 White Palomino for Chad, lets see if this one runs before we get too involved.
B – 5 Riverwalk likely will need a race, but I never ignore these connections.
B – 7 Oconee Life dug in well over at Tampa last time, but will find this group a bit tougher to handle.

Race 8 I think will be a fun one to watch.     Top pick ? Ill take the speed but not its a toss up in my opinion.
A – 2 Heal the Soul maybe in his best from ever, now we will see if he can hold it together.  This cold be a heck of a stretch run coming.
A – 7 Cruzin Man bring his 2 wins here up against Heal the Soul’s 9 wins.   2 for 4 since Rohan claimed him and now will try to get that extra 1/2 furlong where he failed for the previous barn.

B or an underneath horse.   5 Putin Online could be so badly outrun early by this group you never here his name, but if this thing melts down and Javier can get him cranked up early maybe he can get there but that is a long shot.

Race 9
A – 1 Octane
is 5 for 6 vs state bred company with lone defeat coming on debut and is the one to beat in here.

B – 6 The Skipper Too is capable of running a big race and should get a good trip.   Good chance the stablemates run 1-2 here.

Race 10   I would like to have coverage while pressing my strongest opinions.
A – 3 Capture the Lion has to answer the distance question.  Has always been motoring on the front end and showed in the mornings that distance was not his friend.   But the last at Tampa was very impressive, after being shuffled at rail a bit losing 3/4L’s moved off the rail making up ground while shifting lanes then galloped out well.
A – 5 Super Chow will be short that last 16th and drifting about but always digs in and tries hard.    He is better going 3/4’s but not counting him out.
A – 8 Deer District might be the one in here looking for the 7 furlongs distance.  Has plenty of talent but will need the right trip.

B – 2 Let It Ride will need to show he can pass horses.   Catches a tough group here but is lightly raced and improving.

C – Everyone else but the 6 Ticking I do not need on tickets.   Yes I do want some coverage to the greatest take out reducer of all time Baby Yoda

Race 11
A – 1 Dilger is interesting for Saffie.  Took money on debut vs stakes company, I definitely want this one on tickets.
A – 6 Royal Majesty is the horse I am most excited to watch on the card.     Bigtime Pedigree and most importantly the work on Jan. 13th was eye catching to say the least.
A – 9 Zapata for Chad, I have NO INFORMATION for other than stats.  Defensive use.

B – 7 Coinvest would be another defensive use.  1/2 to Wit, Pletcher and Irad, all the usual….

C – 8 Pet Mat I think will out run his odds here.   Went off at 68-1 last out and ran very well.
