I will be covering the Early Pick 5 in detail, and quick thoughts on rest of card.
You can find John Pinder’s work on the late Pick 5 under the Gulfstream Park menu as well here at Inthemoneypodcast.com
Saturday Review – Just quick performance on early pick 5 as time is an issue for me once again today.
After a forgettable Friday the Saturday card netted some nice returns in spots. Early Pick 5 I ended up alive to the 1 and 8 in the 5th for 5 figures but went down in flames and once again with the Krioyo and Camp Hope Double.
R1 – Gave me more winner on Saturday than I had on the Friday card although I 100% did not expect Eton to be on the lead wiring the field setting some tough fractions in the process. I called an audible last minute and singled the winner on my pick 5 ticket that almost scored big.
My interest in this Sunday card in minimal with many lower level races early so I will be brief while trying to cover these maiden races more in depth.
Early Pick 5
R1 – 5 6
R2 – 2 5
R3 – 1 4 6
R4 – 1 7
R5 – 1 2 5 6
Turf P3
R1 – 5 6 B – 2 4
R8 – 1
R10 – 3 6 7 9 ( This is fading the 4 8 10 that I have reason to be against and all 3 will be taking money)
Race 1 State Bred MSW
5 Gianluca Be Lucky has the best race of the group with an honest effort last time trying hard the entire stretch. I do not think he can run faster than he did last time that might be enough in this group.
6 Lomax for Pletcher and Irad will be a short price in a group that looks to be lacking talent. Lomax ran respectable during his tapeta debut which Irad was on another Pletcher that day. Any improvement and this colt should handle this group no problem.
B LINE
2 Lower Broadway would be the next in line to toss on a ticket. I have seen this move before with Maker dirt sprint showing nothing then stretching out on the grass.
4 The Rizzer look decent in the one turf work I watched nothing negative but likely will need a race.
Fade for me is the 1 Curved…. Big ploddish type colt that has not shown anything in the morning prior or after debut.
Race 2 I have no strong opinion in a short field of N2L claimers. I will be using 2 horses with nothing creative or hidden beyond their paper form.
A LINE
2 Southern Place – Saffie/Edgar / Dropping/
5 Gullfaxi narrowly has the best dirt routes of the group and changes barns.
Race 3 is the first of the two open bred MSW’s for fillies. Just as yesterday there is 1 sprint and 1 route.
A LINE
1 Stay Classy had some speedy works prior too debut and took money in both starts. Dale is 3 for 15 with third time starters dirt sprinting in MSW’s. Is it me or does Dale draw the 1 hole constantly at GP?
4 Invisible String is named correctly being Invisible at times as there are no work videos or info to be found anywhere. See Saturday race with Cox runner who burned money…
6 She’s a Gamer will be my top selection here. She has worked well since arriving to South Florida and was working well this past summer in Saratoga. Old Work Note – July 2nd Flashy Gate work best over Will Reign( 2ndonDebut, ran in CatchAGlimpse and Natalma as a Maiden)
Race 4 is a 12,500 N2L where I can make a case for many, but have 1 I will take a shot on.
Action type Win Bet on the 1.

1 Kuwait Towers will be my top selection here at a price. I am familiar with this runner that has never showed much until the recent barn change. Nov 23rd nearly won at 52-1 when the difference was the actual winner got the jump on this one, my note even says WHERE DID THIS RACE COME FROM? Last Time – Slightly improve by numbers again.
7 Whiting Field has been the most consistent and best of the group. The 8.5 furlongs is pushing the limits of distance capabilities but if they let this walk on the front end will be dangerous.
B LINE 2 4 5 6 but I likely will roll with the two A’s in a sequence that I do not want to invest too much of my bankroll.
Race 5 I want some coverage with nothing standing out to my eyes.
A LINE –
1 Candy Street
2 Forwardly would be a single if not for the fact he looks to be coming from off the pace if runs the last race back which comes with the risk of a bad trip.
5 Rapscallion
6 Heartsbeatlikthundr
B 3 Nathaniel’s Hope I am not crazy about but may include.
Race 6
A LINE
2 Raghba Nothing negative in works or overly flashy I would have her as the second choice but with odd money at Gulfstream lately……. ?
3 United Forever I have some interest in as the works have been slowly improving and look good after wire each time. I will throw $10 bucks at this one if goes off at some ridiculous price.
7 Madam Opus is another one that is completely blank on the work information. NOTHING!! but will take money.. SMH Maybe they told this filly she cost nearly a 1/4 million? Chad is 19% in this spot while 1 for 15 at Gulfstream with first timers / Dirt/Routing/MSW’s.
8 Into Royalty should be the favorite!! She took money on debut breaking from the rail managed to get inside position before checking hard and loosing 10 lengths. Junior regrouped this filly and made a run at the rail. I do not think she is a superstar but solid debut with plenty of room for improvement of course.
Race 8 the 1 Sol Hope I will place a Win Wager here. This mare moved to Saffie’s barn last time and won convincingly. Now draws the rail which is not ideal but with her style should not be an issue.
Also going to plays Doubles with 1 Sol Hope into both the top picks in Race 9
Race 9
3 Concrete Glory has been solid for Saffie since claiming for a bargain price of $6250.
6 Suncroft I will play enough into this one to break even in the event this runner can upset Concrete Glory.
Race 10 I found to be the most interesting race on the entire card and maybe one of these spot that I am trying to be too cute. I am playing the Turf P3 and fading all the favorites here.
A LINE – 3 6 7 9
