Any Stats or percentages are based on specific Scenario in the last 5 years unless stated otherwise. Example – 1st Time Starter / Sprint / Dirt / MSW. TYPO Disclaimer I keep finding my self using abbreviations that I use in my Formulator Trip notes out of habit and some I fail to fix on proof reading.
Today will be a bit condensed and rushed, Was blessed to have a huge day yesterday that included a big Negative getting beat out of a BCBC seat by 10 CENTS!!!, but I got behind etc, same ole…. But wanted to get any information I might have that is not on PP’s out there.
Race 3 – 6 Furlongs on Dirt – There are some first timers in here that can beat you but only going to mention 3 horses here.
3 – Lupo’s Legacy gets Irad which will take money and balance things out a bit. I am fine getting beat by this one.
6 – (B) Mr Peeks had some nice works prior to debut and continues to work well now. His debut was not there far off the favorite.
7 (A) A La Carte ran huge in debut , heavy favorite nothing to talk about here.
Top Pick – A La Carte
Race 5 – 7 1/2 on the Turf – This one is interesting and has a lot of angles, Recommend to spread but if you are looking for equity maybe something here to help you narrow down in your multi race tickets. Great betting race with some major takeout reducers if you can land on the right horse.
1 (B) My Spirit has a lot of unknowns. Moves to a New Barn, 1st Time on the Turf. Unfortunately No Work info to be found. Interesting Saez lands here, Did he opt off the 3 ?
2 Practiko
3 (C) Fearless Soldier second start for Pletcher with Irad up will take money of course. Has solid works prior to debut keeping good company, Debut he stalked 2L back 3W and looked good. When asked he stayed on same pace shortening late, hung on his left lead a bit. Did not look as advertised that day, but now has the experience and moves to the Turf. Did Saez opt for the 1 Here? Very likely could win this race, but I am ok taking a shot against.
4 Sharp Play Boy I will pass on but work did look good on the grass.
5 (C) Union Trail flashed a bit of speed in dirt debut then showed nothing. Was working decent before debut and picked it up when moved to the grass is one to include at a price.
6 Harry Hood is one of two in for Chad who has amazing stats of course. Brown / Turf / Route blah blah, Can he win YES, but the last time Chad has won a MSW / Turf / Rte with a first time starter here at Gulfstream Feb 23rd 2020. Old WORK NOTE – 8-14-22 worked with BobbyTheTank who broke maiden in a claimer.
7 (B) Right to Win ( COPY PASTE) is one of two in for Chad who has amazing stats of course. Brown / Turf / Route blah blah, Can he win YES, but the last time Chad has won a MSW / Turf / Rte with a first time starter here at Gulfstream Feb 23rd 2020. I have no workout information on this one, but if going to include one of the Brown horses it would be this one. All that being said, maybe I just put Chad in the winners circle…..
8 Interstellar you include based on unknown’s 1st LX , 1st Turf etc. But will Pass
9 (B) Tiger’s Legacy 20-1? Barn is 3 for 10 with this move and 2 for 3 with this move during this meet. Jose rode in debut, now gets Lasix, Has been working well.
10 (A) Gipsy Chief will be my top pick and very risky lone A on at least 1 Ticket. US Debut washed off the grass. Broke well in hand at rail, made up a lot of ground through the turn while in hand, off turn behind a wall of horses waited 3/4L back at this point. When asked Responded well dove to the inside splitting horses had to force his way out late which cost some momentum then finished well. He handled the Tapeta well , build and way this one travels the turf should move this one up. Lots of unknowns in here so not a lock by no means but is a questionable group.
11 Checkitup
12 Spiritwood is one to look for later, showed some talent in works.
TOP PICK 10 GIPSY CHIEF
Race 10 1 Mile on Turf for 4 year olds and up Really short on time on this one…..
1 Ms. Solveig
2 (A) Sahlabiya has not been seen since July and moves the Walsh Barn. Showed some talent last summer and has been working well, thought was slightly better then Aspen on the Feb 15th work.
3 (C) For the Flag has not been seen since 2021. She will be a huge price for a hot barn, OLD WORKNOTE – Not much to go on here but Dec 21 old clocker note referred to this one as talented. The works you can watch on XBTV traveled well the question of course is she ready.
5 Pure Country
6 (A) War Princess
7
8 (A) Lute Player will be my top pick here. Her last was inside in hand at rail, had traffic in front of her the entire stretch and never did get a lane.
9 (B) Aspen
10 (B) 20-1 Double Cosmo Girl , moved up when got on the Turf in her last. Splitting horses and got to the leader but was no Match, Big Gallop out back by the winner.
11 (A) Mesaoria
12 Sweet Curalina
TOP Pick 8 Lute Player
