First off, PTF and Sean Tugel look back at last weekend at MTH and offer some general advice to the industry.
Then, Gene Recio of Lynwood Stables is here to talk about some of thee horses he’s been involved with including Guarana, Songbird, and Honor Code.
Last but not least, PTF and Sean talk about baby races at SAR and DMR this weekend.
Green Mountain Park and Scarborough Downs. I’ve been to both, as well as to Storyland many times as a child. I agree completely with Sean that more tracks, but less racing, would be preferable (but I guess not financially feasible). In Louisiana, we have four (“major”, not bush) tracks. At most times, TWO of them are running. Along with the Texas tracks and Oaklawn. There is a point in the calendar when NONE of them are running. It seems to be a no-brainer that the four tracks would run without overlapping, any maybe even co-ordinate with neighboring states so that (for instance) Lone Star and Louisiana Downs, less than two hours from each other, aren’t running at the same time. The mid-Atlantic is even worse. :/
