An ITM Tour Player Turns $20 Into $10,000
This is what the Tour is all about. Michael Saletta turned a $20 In the Money HorsePlayers Tour feeder into a $10,000 seat in the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge — his feeder play earned him into Saturday’s BCBC Qualifier, and he went out and won it. His winning card rode the weekend’s two Belmont winners: Kensington Lane in the Oaks and Title Role in the Derby. Congratulations, Michael — and if you want to be next, get yourself into a feeder.

Remembering Harvey Pack
Five years ago today — July 6, 2021 — racing lost Harvey Pack, the witty, curmudgeonly voice of the New York $2 bettor, at 94. A day after Twenty Six Black took the Harvey Pack Stakes at the Spa, it’s the right moment to revisit PTF’s tribute, built around a recording he made with Harvey at his apartment in 2019.
