AQUEDUCT – 11/27/21

RACE 1: 2-4-1

#2 NEVER CHANGE is a firster by Uncle Mo campaigned by the connections of Uncle Mo.  Progeny of Uncle Mo win at a 14% clip on debut and the dam here was Grade I placed as a 2YO and wound up running in the Breeders’ Cup as a maiden.  The lone sibling to race scored six times in her career.

RACE 2: 8-3-1-11

The improvement shown by #8 CARA’S DREAMER is encouraging and she showed the ability to stay a tad closer two starts back.  There’s a dearth of early speed in this field and that could work in ths favor of this daughter of The Factor.  Continued improvement would make her a threat.

RACE 3: 4-7-2-9

#4 FEATHERS ROAD endured a brutal trip in his turf debut last time out for Linda Rice.  He comes back off a layoff today as a new gelding with a better rider and should be more forwardly placed with a cleaner beginning to this voyage.  He has plenty of upside at 3rd asking as well.

RACE 4: 7-8-9-6

#7 WICKED INDEED rallied into a slow pace last time out and made a strong late bid.  He has improved since being claimed by Rudy Rodriguez and gets the hot-riding Jose Lezcano.  There should be at least a decent pace in this field thanks to #8 NO BURN.

RACE 5: 3-4-8-9

#3 SPORT MODEL was stymied the whole way down the stretch and wound up getting no chance to run here 8 days ago.  She is a player in here given her tactical speed and the fact that this race is hardly loaded with pace.  Look for Javier Castellano to get her into stalk and pounce range at a big number in here.

RACE 6: 4-5-6-1

#4 SEND FOR ME is a firster by 16% debut sire Into Mischief and is out of a dam who scored twice.  This filly has two winning siblings and worked :10 at the OBS April sale earlier this year.  She looks to be training well for a barn that does quite well with first time starters.

RACE 7: 1-3-5-2

Even with the wrong ride last time out, #1 GENERAL KEN still got up to win the Awad.  This colt is now 2-2 and figures to be a solid favorite once again.  He should be more involved in the opening stages of this affair and the inside post is advantageous.  He looks better than the rivals he meets this afternoon.

RACE 8: 6-3-5

#6 MILES D will try to best #3 SPEAKER’S CORNER in what looms a very intriguing matchup.  This son of Curlin wants every bit of the 9 furlongs and two turns and is going to be short-changed based on his last race.  ‘Speaker has a pace edge and is likely to be dictating terms from the start.

RACE 9: 8-7-4-3

#8 SORREL returns off a layoff for trainer Christophe Clement after running into some brief trouble in her North American debut.  She ran into a couple of tough customers that day, including eventual Grade I winner War Like Goddess.  The distance really suits this daughter of Dansili and she will be the best price of the Clement runners in this field.

RACE 10: 1-7-6-3

It is a decent time for an upset and #1 MAXWELL ESQUIRE figures to be a good candidate.  He made a strong late bid in a race run at a slow early pace and he figures to get a much better setup this time around.  You’ll get an attractive price here and his best races are in line with the heavies in this field.

AQUEDUCT FALL STATS: 55-14-9-5                $130.70
