AQUEDUCT – 01/30/25

RACE 1: 4-6-1-3

#4 FARM HOUSE is a first time starter by Instagrand, who has been a modest producer with first timers in his first crop.  This filly has a solid dam side and went for a decent amount of money at auction.  She looks to be training forwardly for a top barn and should be ready on debut.

RACE 2: 1-6-5-2

#1 FORWARD MOVE has been competing effectively against tougher of late and drops into the NY bred ranks today.  He is quick enough to stay close early and hails from the meet’s top barn.  All signs point to him being an obvious player at a short price.

RACE 3: 5-1-2-3

If you’re willing to throw out the last race for #5 PATTY CAKES, then she is a major threat today at a price.  Nothing went right in that most recent start, and is is a real outlier given her prior form.  That’s why it might be the best idea to ignore it altogether and try this late running daughter of Dialed In.

RACE 4: 3-2-4-6

#3 BOYS CODE goes 2nd off a layoff today and should be moving late after a solid run at a mile last out.  This distance is well within his scope and the pace should setup decently for this son of Boys at Tosconova.  The price will be fair as well.

RACE 5: 3-6-1-5

#3 BROOKLYN RHAPSODY was the beneficiary of a fast pace last time out and should get one again this afternoon. The tempo on paper in here should be very strong and that will help her chances.  Look for her to come calling late under Manny Franco.

RACE 6: 4-2-1A-3

#4 ELLIPTIC is strictly the one to beat based on recent form, as she won three straight prior to dropping her last.  She is versatile and can race forwardly today, which is a major feather in her cap.  An effort similar to the three straight scores would make her tough to beat.

RACE 7: 1-4-5-6

#1 CEES GET DEGREES is an interesting price play here for a barn that had success with a similar runner here a few weeks back.  This gelding’s recent form is cycling upwards and he should be a good fit in here, a comparable 25k event to the one he exits.

RACE 8: 4-2-5-3

While we’ve yet to see anything subsequently like we did from #4 CRITICAL THREAT last summer at Saratoga, he is a tough customer who looks like the choice here..  He’s developing a reputation for firing every time, and deserves it without question.  Expect him to be prominent throughout.
