AQUEDUCT ANALYSIS – 11/7/2024

RACE 1: 6-4-1-3

Throw out the most recent outing of #6 COSTA TERRA, who stretches back out to a proper distance in a projected slow paced race.  He can be forward under Irad Ortiz, Jr. ready to pounce late coming off the sprint, and his most recent running line will drive many away.  That makes him a good bet today.

RACE 2: 3-2-6-8

#3 MY MITOLE began his brief career with a couple of strong efforts on dirt.  He ran into Mentee in a salty early season MSW event when last seen and now faces considerably softer off a nearly five month layoff.  He has speed and can use it to get position in here, which is of great importance.

RACE 3: 1-9-2-7

#1 MAGGY’S PALACE is in off an improved run last time out when 2nd against similar foes at 7 furlongs.  The mile distance is well within range for her and the price will be fair given the competitive nature of this field.  Her ability to rally from off the pace around one turn is what makes her most appealing.

RACE 4: 2-1-5-7

#2 SHE’S A NATURAL made a big middle move last time out going long on turf and now cuts back in distance while getting a key rider change.  She should be able to lay back and make one run today in a race with pace signed up.  The drop in class is influential as well and the human connections here will certainly lead to a good price.

RACE 5: 4-5-8-9

Making up any ground of significance was very tough on July 31 at the Spa and #4 ALWAYS BE SMART also had a slow pace to deal with in that affair.  He should get a far stronger pace to run at this afternoon against a considerably while facing a far weaker field.  They’ll have to hold him off late.

RACE 6: 5-8-1-9

#5 VEGAS WEEKEND is a late runner cutting back in distance who’ll benefit if there’s any pace on in this field.  The early tempo should be strong based on what we see on paper and you’re going to get a fair price here all things considered.  The weight break also helps, so give this gal a long look.

RACE 7: 2-8-9-4

There’s no doubt the Chad Brown-trained duo are the ones to beat, specifically #8 RHIANNON, but you have to try to wire this thing with #2 ROSWELL.  She is bred beautifully for turf being out of graded stake winner Acoma and should be able to get to the lead from the rail.  If able to moderate the early pace she could be very tough to catch late.

RACE 8: 5-1-3-9

#5 ALLOFASUDDENLEE is the one to catch as he returns from a break that followed a debut run against MSW company.  He showed speed in a fast paced race to begin his career and now lands in a softer spot in the maiden claiming ranks.  Look for him to try to take it to them right from the start today.
