RACE 1: 6-2-1-5

Even though it was an off the turf race, #6 GAMING WIZARD was tremendous in victory last time out and deserves consideration again.  The fact he’s gone the trip is a positive and he’ll get a good stalking trip.  The potential to move forward is there given how much better he ran last time out.

RACE 2: 5-2-4-1

#1 THE WINE STEWARD is clearly the horse to beat off a try on the Tapeta at Presque Isle that didn’t go very well.  His NY bred run two back in the Morrissey was huge, as he battled all the way before getting tagged on the wire.  He should get a similar stalking trip this afternoon and will be a deserving heavy favorite.

RACE 3: 3-4-1-5

It’s hard to argue with the move back to NY bred company for #3 RUN CURTIS RUN, who will be moving late for the red-hot barn of Mike Maker.  He has run well locally and is pace dependent, but there’s enough early speed in here to set the table in the closing stages.  The price is the final factor to land here.

RACE 4: 4-8-6-2

#4 RINA’S REVENGE is dangerous on the move back to NY bred races after a try in the Grade I Frizette.  She had little to no chance that day and was a deserving longshot.  This is a spot where she can stalk the pace and try to wear them down late, which is likely her preferred style based on the debut score.  There’s no doubt #8 LETMECOUNTTHEWAYS is the horse to beat off a huge debut win for a red-hot barn.

RACE 5: 9-7-3-8

#9 ENDLESS KISS is a first timer by Echo Town, whose progeny are 6-14 at first asking when they’re 3Yos and up. The dam side here is average, but the competition she’s meeting here is weak.  She should be able to get involved early today based on the worktab and there’s simply no depth among the experienced runners.

RACE 6: 2-8-1-3

The opportunity for #2 GEORGE BRIGGS to step up and take the helm in this division is there today.  He returns off a break after winning an off the turf race and he lands in a spot where he’ll get some pace to run at thanks to #3 ITSALLCOMINTOGETHA and #8 SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN.  They are each win candidates but should set the table for this Chad Brown trainee nicely.

RACE 7: 8-2-4-5

#8 MIDNIGHT CONCERTO began her career on dirt and broke her maiden before moving to the turf.  She had a workout during the Saratoga meet where she hooked in with stablemate Thorpedo Anna and this gal more than held her own.  She now moves back to the main track and should be rolling late in a race where the speedsters are questionable going 9 panels.

RACE 8: 7-3-8-6

Few horses love Aqueduct the way #7 SUNDAY GIRL does, with 5 wins from 6 tries and the lone blemish being a runner-up finish.  She has the tactical speed to stay within range from the start today and exits an effort that’s better than it looks when you consider that being off the rail on the day of the Endine at Delaware was an advantage.

RACE 9: 4-1-9-5

#4 AWESOME CZECH is simply in razor sharp form at the moment and is the one to beat.  She followed up a game NY bred score at the Spa with a good effort against open company and figures to get a pace to run at this afternoon.  Until dethroned, she is the leader of this division, which might lack the star power of the past but has depth.

RACE 10: 5-2-1-3

#5 BANK FRENZY
is a 6x Aqueduct winner returning from a break after being glued to the rail in the John Morrissey last time out.  He is in a far more winnable spot given his success at 9 panels and he should get an ideal trip stalking the pace.  If he runs back to some of his better efforts locally, the competition here cannot beat him.

RACE 11: 1-3-5-10

There’s an argument that you’re supposed to overlook every runner from the common September 18 tilt in here, but my feeling is #1 OUT COUTOUR ran the best of them.  He was wide turning for home and finished with interest in a race that tested whether he fits at the MSW level.  He should be moving well late today in a race that should have pace.
