On the Horizon – Gulfstream Park – Friday(December 02, 2022) – John Pinder

Late Pick 5 sequence:

Race 5 SELECTION:  5

We are going to call our shot in the first leg and single the most likely winner #5 Classic Lady.  She has run at higher levels and should be more than this group can handle.  Top connections and speed figures won’t allow any value but we will leverage the 1 of 1 opinion and move forward.

Race 6 SELECTIONS:  9  –  5  –  4

#9 Royal Mahogany is a projected co-favorite with speed as his number one asset.   #5 Never Satisfied has not been very consistent but has competed at higher levels and on different surfaces and has yet to find his niche, but based on ability and running style, is not without a chance.   #4 Doctor Ron is a bounce back candidate that has been away from the races for nine months, but showed good early speed in both starts.

Race 7 SELECTIONS: 4  –  5  –  7

#4 Adios Baby is moving up from the maiden ranks but has shown toughness and progression since moving to the barn of trainer John Vinson.   #5 Let’s Be Honest has shown to be an effective closer; this race should have lots of pace for her to run at.  #7 Bion Magic is cutting back to a sprint distance which is where she competed competitively and is getting a ten pound weight break.

Race 8 SELECTIONS:   5  –  9  –  1

#5 Bramble Bay has shown the agility to sit a good trip and is a logical contender in this spot, but there are a few more worth considering.   #9 Kahiko is a hard trying mare that has some tactful ability for solid connections.  #1 Fast as Flight possesses good early speed and should be able to hold her position into the early first turn; Jockey Julien Leparoux can be a turf riding wizard.

Race 9 SELECTIONS:   2  –  3  – 4

#2 Amore Moon has been knocking at the door of the winner’s circle, first off the claim for a new barn could make the difference.  #3 Ransoms Reward has the desire to be close on the pace but yet to finish, she is an include because switching to the All-Weather surface sometimes plays kind to those on the lead.  #4 Maria’s Honor is returning from a 5-month layoff for trainer Sancal Murat.
