Late Pick 5 sequence:
Race 5 SELECTIONS: 4 – 8 – 1
#4 Calling All Angels is a well bred three-year-old filly that will be making her second U.S. start for trainer Mark Casse. Although her last race was no record breaker, she showed good speed early; stretching out to a route helps her chances. # 8 Acquired Taste is a Kitten’s Joy filly that is dropping in class and is getting back to the surface that she and her many siblings thrive on. #1 Amanda’s Challenge earned a mid range speed figure on debut last time out and has the potential to improve greatly off that effort.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 8 – 7
#8 Musical Design returned to the races last time out after a seven month layoff and just missed at this level last time out; if she can return to prior form she will be the one to beat. #7 Poggibonsi is a four-year-old homebred first time starter for trainer Jane Cibelli. She has been putting up strong workout numbers since the summer and has good pedigree; her Dam has two winners from two starters.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 5 – 7
#5 Miss Vyvyanne ships down from Woodbine for her new trainer William Tharrenos. In both her prior starts she has displayed good versatile speed, today she steps up in class but numbers and running style fit today’s contest. #7 Daizy Doozy won at first asking last time out for trainer Scott D Acker. The runner up behind her on debut came back to win her next race.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 3 – 9 – 7
#3 Takecareofbusiness ran a strong second place finish last time out. He has good tactical speed and likes to come from off the pace, he should have a lively pace to run at today. #9 Rockin Roller has been competitive at this level and distance but has not been able to close the deal for trainer Edward Plesa Jr.; gets Lasix for the first time. #7 Morethanreadyeddie returns to the races after a seven month layoff for trainer Todd Pletcher. This son of More Than Ready gets Lasix for the first time and gets jockey Luis Saez in the irons.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 5 – 8
#5 Inhalation was not competitive in his last race. Today is going to run on the All-Weather and also cut back in distance from a mile to 5.5Furlongs; his early speed should help secure positioning behind some rivals who have a history of going too fast before backing up. #8 The Predicament has been popular at the claim-box lately, as he has been claimed in his last two starts and today will run for the barn of Sandino R Hernandez. He always gives an honest account of his talents and today could be the winner of a tough race.
Let’s make it happen!!!
