Late Pick 5 sequence:
Race 5 SELECTIONS: 1 – 4 – 6 – 7
#1 Sebaray is making a significant drop in class for trainer Raymond Handal; also gets the advantageous rail post and the services of jockey Tyler Gaffalione. #4 Greg’s Honor just missed at this level last time while chasing a hot pace, and does best in that scenario. Should get another opportunity to be a late factor, Irad Ortiz Jr. picks up the mount. #6 Morethanicanhandle will once again attempt the All-Weather surface at the same level. Last time out he did not break as well as he had been accustomed to and in an attempt to get forward had to steady; has the ability. #7 Krypton will be running second off the claim for trainer Carlos David. In his last two attempts at higher claiming levels, he has found trouble. If he can keep his nose clean maybe he can get it across the line first.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 1 – 8
#1 Witch of Love returns from a two months rest for trainer Victor Barboza Jr. Her last effort was an anomaly from the norm and looks to bounce back to her older GP form. #8 Meet the Beauty makes a drop in class for our trainer of choice for this race, Victor Barboza Jr. This daughter of Frosted runs an honest race more times than not; last time out she just missed.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 4 – 5 – 6
#4 Rockin Roller has been knocking at the door in his last three attempts at the OC75K/nlx level, today he drops to the OClm50K level and will be running with Lasix for the second time. #5 Best Defense will be running first off the claim for trainer Michael Maker. This son of Into Mischief is lightly raced and won going gate to wire last time out in only his second career start. #6 Marley Luck ran against a tougher group last time and found trouble early on in that race. Today he drops in class and gets a rider change to Tyler Gaffalione.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 2 – 3 – 5
#2 The Mrs has earned the fastest speed figure of the runner’s schedule for today’s eighth race. She had been running against open company in her last two attempts and successfully broke her maiden last time out, today she runs against state bred company. #3 Girvin Girl is a perfect one for one in her career after winning on debut back last month. She is a homebred trained by trainer Barry Croft. Croft’s barn doesn’t run a lot of horses compared to some of the larger operations but they are competitive when they show up. # 5 Sherlyn Go Go broke her maiden last time out against state bred fillies earning a good speed figure while doing so. Today she returns after a two months rest to face Florida bred winners in the allowance ranks; she will be running on Lasix for the first time as well.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 2 – 6 – 9
# 2 Street Vendor is one of the more proven turf runners in today’s ninth race. He has only been campaigned on the turf and fits today’s class level; running for very strong connections. #6 Chasing Rainbows moves to the new barn of trainer Jose D’Angelo who is statistically great with first off the claim runners, also gets the services of jockey Tyler Gaffalione. #9 Gun Maestro is a long shot include that has the ability to be near the early pace and is in good form. Has strong turf pedigree on his dam’s side of the family and could take to the grass.
Let’s make it happen!!!
