Parx Racing 9/4/23

Parx Spot Plays

Race 4: #6 Predominate

  • Predominate should get the pace to run at here. The 3 and 4 on paper both fade when they get into duels. I think today they link up early and battle hard enough where they both are vulnerable to being run down by a closer. That closer, is Predominate. I think Silvestre will have this one close today due to the 5 horse field, and this one will be sitting ready to pounce on the turn.

Race 7: #6 Johnny Ritt

  • Johnny Ritt doesn’t need the lead in order to win despite having a ton of early footing. The 5 and 8 most likely will go to the front with Johnny Ritt sitting just off but pressing the whole time. I think the weight break on this one with the apprentice Ruiz aboard will be beneficial. This horse also has improved a ton since going to Carlos Caban.

Race 8: #9 Brushing

  • Brushing is always live over this Parx turf course. Brushing didn’t like the Colonial course last time out or the whole shipping part. I think the return to what she knows best which is Parx, is going to be key here.
