Race 4: #7 Culpa Blanco

  • Culpa Blanco has some okay dirt form on her record and she is going to be running over a wet going for the first time. The connections attempted turf with her last time out and she ran pretty decently. They resorted back to dirt today and kept Andy Hernandez aboard. With some half decent off track pedigree in her, I think she has a legitimate chance to make some noise today.

Race 6: #7 Midnight Cat

  • Midnight Cat probably will go off as the favorite here which I can respect. This horse debuted at Horseshoe Indy and then was sent to Jamie Ness and wound up here for a claiming tag. Ness excels with horses going out for the first time under his watch and this one gets his ACE Ruben Silvera aboard. I think he towers over this group and should win.

Race 8: #5 My Devils Child

  • My Devils Child was sent to the Carlos Caban barn for some reason after some solid efforts for Miguel Rodriguez. The owners Hakims Stable are one of Miguel Rodriguez’s top owners and its weird seeing them switch to Caban here who has only 13 runners this year. Angel Castillo takes the call here who rides regularly for the Hakims ownership group. Castillo is familiar with this horse as well and I think today is the day they piece it all together.
