Little Something different from myself. Pete and Duke went over Races 6 through 13 earlier today. My full picks of the Early Pick 5 which I found to be very tough. Also spread throughout the post are some of my old workout notes that I highlighted in BOLD that you will not find in your Past Performances or current clocker reports. Hopefully some may find those helpful or at least interesting.
Then races 6 – 13, I only mentioned my top pick and my bet of the day starting in Race 11.
Race 1 – 1 Mile on Turf – Very Tough to separate these – Scratches could play huge roll here, I will be paying attention to where jockeys land if some of these AE’s draw in.
A’s
2 Breaker of Chains – I would have thought Tyler would got 1st call on her, but this one has not been seen for a year…. So maybe not the case.
3 Watch It
4 She’s The One – Clement and Rosario are 4 for 8 at the meet
5 On Alert
11 – Fast and Flirty
13 – Wonka – AE If this one draw in and Jr gets off the 6 definitely must use. Back in July was working well with Graded stakes placed Nostalgic
14 Stuck on Kitten – Last race when stretching out did everything but get her picture taken.
15 Feunte Ovejuna – If In where does Tyler go
16 Jumeriah Doubtful this one gets in, but if she does you will not see 20-1
B’s
6 You Look Cold – Unknown here, but moving to the Mott Barn w JR in saddle Turf Route at Gulfstream has been $$ ( IF 13 draws in where does Jr go)
9 Saturday Night Girl – As you can see has some good races and gets Jose. She has always been a big work horse keeping good company all the way back to 21′ but then comes up short on race day
12 Qualy
C
7 Siempre Elegante – 3rd Start for Saffie and first time on grass since barn change. Defensive Use
10 My Lips are Sealed
Race 2 MSW – 7F Dirt
A’s
2 Mage – Delgado 22% in this scenario but 0 for 5 when narrow down to 7F D/Spts. Would be careful leaving this one off your tickets, Several Big works scattered in there on paper and in clocker notes from past horses Mage was working very well.
3 Kentucky Joker took money in his last out due to that eye catching troubled debut and deserves another shot here. Junior lands here over Mott 1st timer…
8 – Bourbon Resolve – TOP PICK Debut in Dec 31st here at Gulfstream ran ok Note – Scratched at Saratoga in late July, Was flashing some big works prior to that entry while out working his workmate Our Dream Rye’d who won on that same day this one scratched. That runner went on to try stakes company at Saratoga and Keeneland.
9 Perform – Has Speed , cutting back , Gets LX, Must USE
B’s
1 Dark Vector
5 Summonyourcourage – Pletcher and Irad deserving will take money, but bit of Jockey chasing going on here. Junior goes to 3 , Saez off and goes to the 6 for Mott. Which you get Irad right!! This one can win, but I have been waiting to see this one on the GRASS and will continue to wait.
6 Foxburg – Might use Defensively being 1st Timer, but ok passing today.
7 One Fast Dream – Should improve off debut will
Race 3 – 1 3/8 Turf – GEEZ this one was tough for me, all of these are just kinda dull run around the track types. If forced to make some type of win bet, the 2 and 6 will be prices and would take a shot.
A’s
1 Corelli
2 Red Hornet
6 Cupid’s Claws
9 Ever Dangerous
11 Onenightstandards
B’s
3 Cooke Creek
C’s
4 Sole Volante
7 Ready for the Lady
8 Henley’s Joy
10 Marwad
Race 4 Another Tough Race of course, IF I can piece together an Early Pick 5 ticket ( Pending scratches) this is the race where I make my stand.
A’s
3 Cafe Society
6 Keeper of Time
Race 5 – Another Deep Race where AE”s could play a big roll if they draw in.
A’s
1 Double Clutch had a classy 3yo season and ran some very good Races at 1M. NOTES – Before debut last year was working heads up with Gear Jockey and then before breaking his Maiden at Keeneland was working well with Cellist.
4 Axthelm
6 Up to the Mark – Gets on the Grass for the first time today. NOTES – May of 21 before winning debut, slightly outworked by WIT , August of 22 holding on working with Dynamic One
11 Journeyman – TOP PICK Has a big Experience and class advantage with the majority of the field being freshly turned 4 year olds. Deserving Favorite
15 AE – Not Phar Now
OTHERS – I will be looking to only use A’s here but others have reasons to beat these while trying something new for the first time.
Top Picks
Race 6 – Transient
Race 7 – Steady on
Race 8 – Obligatory
Race 9 Very tough race Making a top pick is head spinning here. But I keep looking back at, Time for Trouble at a huge price.
Race 10 The Reds
Race 11 (3) Wakanaka (after listening to Pete early little hesitant) I do also like horse Pete mentions (4) Sweet Enough ran a huge race in her last. She did get a perf trip but was still impressive. I had planned a 3/4 Exacta and a Double but will rethink that a little bit. ( 3 over 4 Exacta)
Race 12 I will be missing the Pegasus contest after playing the last couple years. I would be ALL in on CITY MAN , Only thing beats City Man here is a bad trip or he beats himself.
Race 13 I will be chalk here as well, I have been on Cyberknife since Feb of last year not jumping ship now. 3 bad races in 12 starts, Lecomte Blinker Experiment, Derby and then at Parx over ground that some horses just do not take to.
Wager of the day for me will be keying around races 11, 12, 13 Pick 3- 3 / 12 / 10 Breaking it down into Doubles as well. After Pete’s comments earlier about Wakanaka (Will have a saver with the 4 Sweet Enough in that P3 and a Double)
