In The Money Media’s Peter Thomas Fornatale (PTF) and Jonathon Kinchen (JK) are joined by international racing expert Michael Adolphson to discuss the pre-entries for Breeders’ Cup 2026, taking place at Keeneland on Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31.
The pre-entries for Breeders’ Cup 2026 have painted an exciting picture for this year’s world championship. Defending Breeders’ Cup Classic 2025 champion Forever Young will look to defend his title in Breeders’ Cup Classic 2026 and will match up with Kentucky Derby 2025 Sovereignty, who has dropped into the box after missing his prep in Jockey Club Gold Cup 2026 which was won by Forever Young.
Being the world championships, Breeders’ Cup 2026 has attracted many of the highest profile names in global horse racing. Breeders’ Cup Turf 2026 could see one-time Epsom Derby 2026 hopeful and eventual Irish Derby 2026 winner Benvenuto Cellini make the trip across the pond for champion trainer Aiden O’Brien, and Breeders’ Cup Turf 2025 winner Ethical Diamond is eying a repeat after his upset last year at Del Mar. Star filly Nitrogen looks to decisively stamp divisional honors in Breeders’ Cup Distaff 2026, and Notable Speech is another looking to defend his crown after winning Breeders’ Cup Mile 2025. The best of the best will be in competition on the last weekend of October at Keeneland!
